It's wonderful. Great food, friendly people, beautiful landscape. Try the Rickshaw Challenge, great way to see a country!

Wouldn't want TURD like you anyway. Name certainly checks out :)

        Name does check out! haha

India is an amazing country and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Been there twice with family. Lovely experience and great memories. People, culture, history, scenery and of course the food. Loved it all.

      We can live with that.

You should voluntarily shred your passport and post the evidence here.

Why? I'm from there and it's an amazing place.

        • Because of the spice/heat or something else? You can easily find mild food (eg palak paneer) and Western or Chinese style is also fairly easy to find in most places.

@dtc: Not the species, the oils, the greesy stuff. Each time I eat some greesy foods, i just poo. and use VIPoo ;)..

          :(

Let's say the "gee" is that the spelling? "soo much gee" ?

        • @Turd: simple then. Don’t add ghee!

        • Username checks out

      It’s great.

I travelled by myself New Delhi to Jaipur to Agra back to New Delhi.

Loved every minute of it. Use google images on those cities and you will see what I mean.

Some highlights for me included; The stepwell Chand Baori, cows walking the streets, the food, train travel (2nd class AC), the sundials janter manter, gandhis blood soaked dhoti, Akshardham temple …….

  • That's incredible value. Only if I had some annual leave :(

    • and live in Sydney - No love for Perth :(

  • Not seeing much for Mar April 19 :(

Just a word of advice, QF codeshares with Jet Airways (9I) to India. So you won't be on QF metal for some of the journey (SIN-India).

Jet airways were alright. Much better than Air India.

      • I never fly Air India but they fly one of the most spacious Dreamliners in the sky.
No comparing those with Jet's 737. Everything else about the AI flight will suck balls but no more than Jet will anyway.

      *9W
Jet Airways are pretty good, sometimes hit and miss…but mostly good. I've never had issues them in last 10 trips over 10 years.

      • I don't know what the options are under this deal, but I can usually find Qantas/Cathay Pacific(CX) codeshares for a similar price to Qantas/Jet(9W).

The only good thing about 9W is flying via Changi. But HK's not bad and you can go out and roam around.
Jet fly old domestic 737s on the up to 5hr routes to India. Cramped, no entertainment, awful food, amateurish service. They don't deserve your money.

CX = as good as econnomy can get for food and space, top service etc.

The worst Qantas codeshare is via Bangkok with Jet Airways. DO NOT! They fly even older 737s (don't ask), it's just ghastly, worst flight I've been on this decade.

  • None for December travel period

    Get it india

  • Why price goes up double for syd-bom for 2 apr to 28 apr?

    • Easter is 21st of April, so likely school holidays?

    • +9

Keep it clean, there is already turd here.

That's sexist. You forgot the girls.

  • Lovely people, great food! Been there few months back….these low fares are tempting me to go again!

  • Bother, can’t find anything for October on qantas

Air Asia has $459 ret to Chennai from Sydney at the moment which is tempting

    • But then you’d have to fly AirAsia.

      • Is it that bad? Never flown but don’t mind Jetstar

        • Yes. Cramped. QF is much better.

  • +2

I can’t find a single date at price mentioned

    • neither could I.
