    Handy for camping!

If you have electricity is that really camping?

Yes, it's still camping. Who decided you have to live like a caveman to camp?

These induction cookers are a great replacement for gas primus stoves etc if you have electricty - fast and safe, easy to clean.

    Bought @$30 - happy with unit👍

$40 for 2100W unit at Aldi currently (on clearance)

    • Not reduced yesterday near me ($50). Similar unit. Have been sitting there for weeks.

As usual - price reduced at some stores where too much stock exists. It's up to district manager to discount if they want to (store manager can't). Aldi don't price match. And not easy to find which stores have reduced price.

Save the trouble if Spotlight is handy. Ring ahead to & have 1 put aside. Very few on shelves in my experience.

  • Hey guys, can someone give me the benefits of these in addition to a normal gas stove !?

    • Don't need a gas bottle?

    • Cook twice as much

      1. Faster than gas
      2. Much better temperature control and responsiveness
      3. Safer than gas - no flame to make grease fires, and no risk of leaks
      4. Can't be accidentally left on with no cookware in place
      5. More energy efficient
      6. Spilled food can't bake onto the surface
      7. Much easier to clean than gas trivets
    • Gas will give you much better control - these cheapies pulse on and off at low levels which makes it hard to simmer small amounts without it boiling during the "on" pulse.

      • Is it the case with this one?

  • Even cheaper at target Bellini Induction Cook at $25 from $49

      • Those reviews are awful.

        • +2

I would check the reviews and see how many people are using non induction cookware. When most are reporting the same error it is more than likely they are just using their old cookware which doesn't work on an induction stove.

  • differences between the cooktops can be that some just allow you to adjust the power level, some allow you to set a temperature ….

i’ve got 2 while renovating and find them very handy as i can also cook outdoors also for stuff like fish, but lack of temperature set control limits use long term in a kitchen, wanted something where i could set to say 80c and it it keeps it at that temp.

the xiaomi is supposed to do it but instructions are chinese only, and youtube is chinese, indian, or russian.

  • Price dropped to $29.99 for the induction!
