D-Cell Battery-Powered Portable Air Pump $5 @ Kmart

150

This is a D-size battery-powered air pump for inflating things.

It is in-store being cleared for $5 (saw it at Airport West, VIC) but has been removed from the website (hence the link to the Google Cache copy). Pretty sure the original price was $15 or $18, not $8 as shown on the site.

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2018.

Don't need an air pump for that…

buy the pump cheap, then buy the batteries expensive.

You could put in a DC converter, and cable to 12V car plug, or powertool battery.

      • It's a DC motor so it'll probably take a large range of voltages without issue.

6v motors would probably take 12v no issue, although an 18v direct (Ozito) battery would be probably a little enthusiastic. Wouldn't stop me trying though.

  • No deal, should be powered by eneloops.

  • I bought one previously- worst pump ever

  • I got one of these a few years ago - it's pretty slow, but it does the job, so no complaints from me given the price. Even the more expensive ones don't have batteries (or need one of those huge 6V things that I don't consider portable enough for camping).

Note that it comes with both a car 12V plug and can be run on D cells - I used a 2x AA to D-cell adaptor and got some use from my expansive Eneloop collection.

  • Hack it to take a power bank input?
