Yep, don't care about RGB, prefers 3000MHz 16GB RAM at $150.
3000mhz is like rgb… makes no difference to performance …
Speed and timings make a big difference with Ryzen processors.
wait till you compare 2400 vs 3200 on ryzen
timing?
This is just regular price. You could get 3000mhz at this price a few weeks back when there was a 15% sitewide deal.
Paid about $210 for this a while ago and thought that was too much lol
what was the lowest price for these type of ram?
I believe it dipped below $200 at one point.
More my point was the price difference over standard kits though, when I purchased it was a $20-30 premium over quality alternative kits, it's now a good $50 more.
Yes, I was also referring to standard kit cost
so you are saying the Gskill 16GB (2x8GB) 2400MHz DDR4 standard kits cost about 150 a while back?
Do you know when that was?No, I was saying I paid $20-30 more than a standard kit - standard kits we're around $180-190 at the time from memory. It's currently ~$50 more for the RGB though, indicating an inflated price for the premium
I think this is pretty cheap
[laughs forever]
I got the same ones but 3200mhz for $250 a couple of months back on Newegg… and I definitely didn't think that was a deal. So I don't think this is worth it.
Is the price for ram ever going to go down?
yes
15-15-15-35-2N timing
mhz is nothing without mentioning of timingIMO $230-240 for a set of 3000-3200 C16 is what you want. Anything below $300 for 3200 C14 is a deal.
Man, RAM is so expensive nowadays.
