    Grass fed beef?

      Only the finest.

      Wagyu ask?

    • +1

yep, only the greenest Romanian pastures.
Extract from their website: "R.M.Williams has been making some of its product offshore since 2001, a decision which was made in consultation with our founder, Reginald Murray (RM) Williams".
      Some=boots.

      • +1

The boots are made in Adelaide which is explicitly stated on the tugs.

        • on the tugs

          They're from NZ?

  • +2

    less than 18% off, significantly?

    • +3

To be fair, I would say 15-18% to be classified as "significant" in any case. I think the term significant has been exaggerated over time. Consider actual costs of items (ignoring RRP rubbish): A car at $30,000 with a 15% discount becomes nearly $5000 off. That's significant. A 1080Ti that's $900 with 15% discount is almost $150 off. A burger normally selling for $6 at 15% discount is almost a dollar off. These are all pretty significant if you ask me.

    • +1

I probably got a bit excited, I haven't seen these on sale in a while is all.

    • People would blow their nut if they could get 18% off an Apple MacBook.

      • +1

        Really!!!!!

        • JB always has them 10% off, and 10% off gift cards are easy to found in the forum. Combined to be 19% off.

        • @mrhorse: Please point me towards the 10% off gift cards please.

$405 from Nungar with $15 postage typically. This is their standard price.

Nice try OP, but Nungar is better.

    • +4

I’ve bought from Nungar in the past and will buy my next pair of craftsman from them. Good service and great price.

    • +2

Awesome! I'll probably end up going with these guys then.

    • Nungar was great, free bootpolish with mine!

Edit:I tried for size in the George st, Sydney shop and then ordered online from Nungar

Is this where all the drought relief ends up. Fancy boots.

  • -2

Ya price is justified well worth it.
It clearly says airport friendly so shouldnt have issue with customs anymore.

  • +8

no matter where you order from, I highly recommend trying these shoes in the store to get the right fit. I recently got a pair and visiting store helped me make the right choice.

  • +8

How many pairs do I get for that price

    • +2

You can stick with your Target/ K-Mart/ BigW cheapo.

      • No offence was meant to you. And there's plenty of GOOD options in between KMart & these $450 shoes, one doesn't need to fall right down to KMart level. Now If you've already spent your money on these it's gotta make you feel better & 'COOL' so enjoy them..

    • +1

      Barnaby Joyce edition -
For when you've really, really gotta look like a bigger dick than everyone else..

    • +4

Dont knock it until you've tried it. Well worth it for some people. I wear these everyday at work and have reduced knee and back pain i used to suffer with the old "Florsheim, Julius Marlow etc etc which gets destroyd every 12 months"

If you take care of one pair they may last a life time.

        • +3

I've seen lots of doctors wearing RM williams.

        • -6

@synergy: interns though. The same ones that wear their stethoscope like it's cool…

        • +1

Go perfectly well with a suit. The style is called Chelsea boots…

        • @pensionday: I've seen PHOs

        • +3

I wear RM boots everyday in the office, with suit. I have friends who work for CBA (which is how i was introduced to RMs) and most of the team wear them including senior management and executives.

        • Army now wear these as part of their uniform as well. In fact, if you have any friends in the Army they can get a pair from their unit 'clothing store' for the best price in Oz but they are only allowed to buy 1 pair per year.

        • @2ndeffort: why neg?

        • @Quantumcat: No deal, I might have stuffed up, sorry, tried to neg the overall deal not your post.

        • @2ndeffort: oh yeah I knew you were negging the post not me, was just confused since your messages seemed to all be positive :-p

      • Add a pair of Superfeet insoles in to any cheaper pair of shoes and it will totally transform them. Plus the superfeet will last longer than the shoes.

  • +1

I have a few pairs of these. I've bought 3 pairs off eBay, 1 was essentially brand new, owner had bought them for a wedding, worn them once then had them in a cupboard. Looked brand new to me. Cost me $300 after some offer and counter offers. I t6hen applied the 'penny5' code for 5% off and also got some QFF points through the qantas shopping link as well I think (not sure). eBay is full of seriously worn boots but there are a few 2nd hand ones that are almost new if you are patient. The sizing is hard to get right, a lot of people buy the wrong size and then sell them online.

Have you created your account to just post this deal? 🤔

  • +2

Sometimes can be had for about $200 from RM Williams outlet for slight seconds. Can't tell the difference.

    • +4

      Stretch marks on cows.

    • +3

RM outlets are a cheaper boot, they are 2 piece boots, you can make out the line up the center. Saying that, most wont notice though.

  • +2

    Looks like sockpuppet

  • +1

    Inner city management heaven!

    • +1

True but, as someone that gets a Veterans Affairs pension for some damage to my achilles courtesy of the Australian Army, I find that these boots are much kinder to my problem areas (Achilles insertion point on the back of my foot) than anything else I've ever worn. Literally a crippling injury that can have me limping for weeks goes away when I wear these. I can also wear them with a suit at work or jeans on the weekend. I might be a stereotype but frankly dont care, my feet comfort is more important than fitting in with other peoples stereotypes.

Is this a bargain post or discussion?

  • -1

Are you sure you're not off a decimal place there?

Cheaper elsewhere as found by my brother @mrderrickc.

  • Worse than other stores' normal price.

  • So many better and cheaper shoes out there. Try loakes, church's, meermin, John lobb, Crockett and Jones…
