I've recently finished the campaign for Sleeping Dogs. Roughly 16 hours with some messing around with side missions before I started focusing on the main story.

I originally tried playing it on Xbox 360 but didn't like it because of how different the driving is compared to GTA IV, which I was playing a lot of at the time.

There's quite a bit of melee fighting action, which is executed pretty well for a GTA clone. But (IMO) not as good as Batman or Shadow of Mordor / War.

The atmosphere, story, acting are all pretty enjoyable, and I think the graphics hold up well. The Definitive Edition (which I played) may have updated graphics.

Definitely recommend giving it a go.

    It's a crowd favourite over at /r/patientgamers/

      It gets very repetitive tho.

      • Yeah the last couple of hours of play were a bit forced for me. Just needed to push the game over to "completed".

  • Got Sleeping dogs and Deus Ex

I had a lot of fun with Sleeping Dogs. 8.5/10 recommended!

  • I love just cause but i can never get the hang of the grapple and end up ruining the attacks on people.

  • I can no longer avoid buying Just Cause 3.

  • Thanks got Just Cause 3 XL for $3 (India region). Too hard to ignore.

Deus Ex Human Revolution also on for $3 USD. Bloody good game that one

    • Thinking of buying this one, never played any Deus Ex games is there a story I need to catch up on or can I just play it as is?

      • There's an unbelievable amount of story in the original Deus Ex, but as these are prequels, you're only missing a bit of clever foreshadowing.
Mankind Divided is a direct sequeal to Human Revolution, but if you dont have the inclination to play HR (you should) then there is a film at the start of MD that fills in the story you need to know.

I'm only playing mankind divided now.

      • If you're the type of person who likes to play games that have been lauded as 'The greatest', then it might be worth chasing down the original. I couldn't even finish Human Revolution in comparison.

      • You can play human revolution as is, but for a more detailed understanding it would be best to play the original too. Skip invisible war as that was crap

The original is $US 0.97… if you do not have it already its almost a mandatory purchase at this price… (Also I have a soft spot for Invisible War… the intro film + music was however the best part of the whole game…)
