For anyone planning to wear this to work, just beware that it's a casual jacket (see e.g. outer side pocket design). Totally fine for casual Fridays.
smart casual is fine for most days for most professionals, not just casual fridays.
Totally agree - I would buy one if I didn't already have something similar (and regret that I bought a lower quality navy sport jacket last year when I could have bought this instead - better fabric, and bemberg lining is a nice touch). Just want to flag it so that nobody is surprised when it arrives, as the photos suggest that it's quite formal and the casual design details (mostly pockets) are hard to make out in the photo especially with the navy colour.
outer side pocket design?
On a business suit it would look like this (not necessarily slanted, but the pocket is concealed and the only additional material on the outside of the jacket is a flap). On a casual jacket the pockets look more like this (as in this country road jacket). I thought I'd flag this because it's a bit hard to make out in the photo (especially with the navy colour fabric).
