Hills Premium Single Compact Folding Frame Clothesline FD45605 $93.59 Delivered @ TradePro Hardware eBay

I've been looking at getting a clothesline for the back of my parents house so they have somewhere to hang the washing during winter, and came across this. Best price at the moment from what I can tell.

I also looked at this other one for almost the same price, but it was too deep to suit purpose.

Don't forget Cashrewards.

My 2c - the thing I hate about my similarly sized folding clothesline is that it cannot hang a normal flat sheet length-ways, or even king-size sheets width-ways without bunching it up. Instead best case you have to hang it width-ways and fold-it over the line more or less in half. When trying to take the sheet subsequently off the line once dry, you then have to battle some magic friction force that seems to grip the sheet to the line.

Approximate Dimensions (WxL) for flat sheets are
    Single 180 × 260 cm
    Double 220 × 260 cm
    Queen 245 x 274 cm
    King 260 x 274 cm

If I were to buy a folding clothes line again, I would get a longer version that could accommodate the sheets length-wise and mount the damn thing higher.

For example, Hills has this 3.4m length version :

It would come down to $151.20 delivered with that same PERFORM20 coupon.

Thanks, just purchased the longest line (3.4m FD45604) and applied code in checkout and all worked fine.

      • weird.. it did not allow me to apply the code at checkout.

    • If you have the space you could buy a Daytek clothesline. They custom size them for people for like 20 bucks. That way you could get one that fits whatever sheet you want. And they are still Australian unlike Hills.

      • Yes I was looking at another company that does this and you can also choose from a whole range of colours as a bonus.

      • Thanks for this. Haven't actually pulled the trigger on the Hills yet, and found this Daytek equivalent at Bunnings with an everyday price of $92, so I might place an order for one:

Does anyone happen to already own a Daytek to confirm quality of materials/durability?

    • We have the Aldi brand and had no issues
