Cost of Getting an Earth Stake Installed?

House has been off grid for a while. Needs to be inspected to get power back on.

Agent got a Sparky on the job, says that it is earthed only via the water pipes, and now needs to be grounded directly.

With the increasing use of PVC, I understand. But, what would be a fair cost to get this installed? Stake in the ground / earthed to the box?

Got a price of $195 (from the person out there doing the inspection - so no call out etc).

Thoughts? cheers

Buy an earth stake from Bunnings, plus a couple of clamps and some cable and DIY it for less than $20?

  +1 get the stake into the ground yourself then get an electrician to wire it to the electrical box.

6 minutes labor I like mine 3 minutes each side warm blu to rare and rested so the juices go into the gravy.
Tell the agent your going to turn him faster than a steak what else is he robbing you on?
