  • yes reasonable price

  • Thanks OP! Bought the Multi Tool its cheap but had to get delivery no pickup.

  • are those 1/3 sheet sanders good for taking 5mm off the bottom of doors & sanding paint off a door?
or spend $5 more on the Worx orbital one?

    • I'd probably go with the random orbital sander for removing stock but it won't leave an even finish. So just go over it by hand using a sanding block.

5mm is a fairly big amount to sand i think its more of a job for a belt sander.

5mm with a sander? That's a lot of work and a lot of dust. Sounds like you need a planer instead.

    • Rather than trying to sand that much off the door, have you tried adjusting the hinges? Packing one hinge out makes a big difference. Plenty of suggested ways to do this can be found online.

    • maybe a plane might be better suited

  • Thanks OP, got my first sheet sander.

  • What are JCB tools like? I know they make decent much, MUCH larger tools backhoes and the like.

  • Impact Driver for $50!
    Brushless!
    TWO batteries!
    20V!
    Semi-fast 60 min charger!

Sounds soo good to be true, yet here it is. I am going to bite.

Its a bit down on power when compared to impacts of the same size average should be around 180nm of torque but the price is right lol.

      • Am I correct in my reading that the impact drill driver above is only 41nm or is that power for drilling only?

        • Combi Drill is 41NM
          Impact Driver is 140NM

I was just going to buy an AEG brushless 3 speed impact driver/hammer drill kit this weekend, but I couldn't resist the $50 brushless and 2 batteries. Missed the hammer drill though, if I can fix my existing drill I might put the AEG purchase off for a bit. OZbargain, messing up my well laid plans.

Also got the $20 Multitool and sheet sanders, the power seems good, price is great and no need to worry about trying to finding replacement batteries if they discontinue the line in a few years. I found a link to a $20 orital sander, but sadly it seems long gone.

        • did you tried to get the rockwell brushless hammer drill ,also comes with 2 batteries charger and a hard case ,i dont know whats the stock like where you are but theres stock in WA and i think its a better deal as its brushless the jcb isnt ,heres the link http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Rockwell-ShopSeries…

        • @hitman48:

No I didn't get the drill, I'm still looking at the AEG package (I'm hoping there is another "deleted item" sale at Bunnings soon). I did look at the $100 3 tool package for Greenlund tools on catch, the thought of a circular saw blade on something that cheap kind of put me off.

Any way it's a bit late and I haven't done any testing with the sander or the multitool but they look and feel solid enough, good for $20. The multitool is heavy though, might be a good thing for long life, or not. 3 year warranty is nice.

I've given impact driver a bit of play. Not bad, underpowered but feels OK. Batteries have no gauge, and feel kind of like they are made from toyish plastic but not fragile.

          • Trigger is passable, quite easy to control and can keep it at very low speed easily.

          • Did 2 test with t17 14 gauge 70/75mm. No pilot holes for either test. The socket I used wasn't a great fit but got the job done.

t1: It drove that into a treated pine sleeper with ease, did it a few times, no issues on any.

t2: The second test I tried it an old hardwood fence post. Hardwood and no pilot hole, it is a big ask for this impact drive. I wasn't expecting it to do well. It did it but very slowly, I had not over stress it. IMHO this is at the drills limits and too many of those would kill it.

For light work (plywood boxes, pine, loose boards, etc) I am pretty happy. I think it would have done the hardwood too if I pre-drilled which I normally would.

    • These appear to be sold out?

  • The impact driver is great, it is however noticably louder than most.

  • Thank you OP. Ended up getting the sander, multi tool and angle grinder. Time to setup the workshop!

  • I just got my Multi-Tool it came from Airlie Queensland to Sydney. Its better then i thought it would be! its build quality is heaps better then then Rockwell stuff and it came in a carry case with some accessories. It is a quick change blade super easy to use.

    • is it loud?

      • I tried it with no load only the tool in place and its okay not to loud. Not as loud as my older Ozito rotary tool. Most the noise comes from the tool moving and not the motor and fan. It has a speed control with 6 speeds so that may help.
I bought a Rockwell belt sander from the other deal and that is multiple times louder but it does have a 800w motor.

        • cools, might buy one to dig out some grout
and sanders oscillate heaps more too.

        • @bogak:

The mutli-tool feels like a solid bit of kit, heavy at IIRC it weighed 1.7kg. It is 300w which is a lot more than many of the ones I looked at at bunnings, OTOH they felt a lot lighter and nimbler. for $20, seems great.

        • yeah ,they are good tools i bought 2 multi tools , 2 impact drivers , 1 hammer drill , 1 grinder , 1 finishing sander , 1 orbital sander ,hahahahahha ,the prices were to good , jst for a cheap brushless impact driver skin only is 100 dollars at bunnings

        • @hitman48: How is the angle grinder? I was going to get one because it has the quick change guard and my Hitachi doesn't.

        • i used it it today to cut some metal pipes ,its solid built and as plenty of power , i also really like the anti vibration handle (i got a makita grinder at work and this one feels better) , jst can't believe it was $20 , would recommend for sure
