i bought a pack of these last time @ half price and it really did blow my mind how good they taste for frozen sausage rolls.

great pastry and a decent filling that's probably as good as your average bakery but no gourmet.

Going to buy a pack or two I think

these are good but microwaving these are NOT an option, the pastry is not cooked - it puffs and is delicious after being in the oven as OP suggests with a little milk.

Cooks well in an air fryer also

  • I was going to buy them to try them but they are FULL price in a store. Apparently if you shop in store you pay a lot more. I didn't know that!

    • They're having a "super sale" online. It's normally the same online as in store.

    • Prices online are the same as instore.
Woolworths sometimes have online only promotions like this one. Bear in mind $1 plastic bag fee for click and collect

Still havent finished the ones from the last sale. Was very flaky pastry (good) and content was nice too! Recommended!

  • …also thaw out for a decent amount of time, otherwise the sausage filling wont be properly cooked & be somewhat mushy

Cut it up prior into small bits.
These are easily best frozen sausage rolls.

      • …i do that as soon as the pastry can be cut without it breaking. if i dont thaw, i find that the pastry cooks too quickly compared to the filling

Try lower temperature maybe to start off.
Pastry goes quite brown for me which I don’t mind.

Thanks. I used to love these (someone else cooking them 20 years ago), but found them quite mushy when I tried them more recently. I will give that a shot.

they're still mushy on the inside unfortunately. sensational crisp puff outside and mushy inside…. i rotate twice @ 200 degrees, 13 minutes each.

  • You can get these cheaper at the Golden Circle Outlet

  • These are on "sale" in-store (Hurstville NSW, YMMV in other stores) for $5 at the moment. What's do they usually sell for?

    • $7.60 or something? definitely under 8 bucks
