  • Most of these places have a $10 signup for new customers on email. I just have so waiting to see if they send through a voucher. Does anyone have any past experience?

    • +18

I have past experience buying shirts. Can confirm they sell shirts

    • +1

When I made a purchase as a guest a month or two ago, I got a 50% off in-store voucher emailed to me. I think it expired a month after that date. Hope that helps! :)

    • +1

I think with Tarocash newsletter subscription that it's a 20% discount code. But even so that would most likely only work with full priced items. It wouldn't apply to discounted clearance items.

      • It sounds fair.

        • I got emailed the 20% code today but it turns out that the code doesn't work. And you can't even get of Tarocash on the phone as all the operators are busy.

And now this sale is over. Typical

  • +9

Just keep in mind that the reduced price is probably more inline with the quality of the shirts. Tarocash simply don't make good quality clothes, but for seven bucks you probably won't be disappointed

Tarocash AKA the tailor for your first bail hearing

      • +10

I thought about getting some a sale or two ago, that is until someone referred to them as Court clothes, can't shake the idea now.

Haha absolutely, especially those monstrosities with the contrasting collars.

      • +1

I was going to say the store people look like thugs

    • +5

$89.99 sounds just unbelievable for cheap market like quality.

      Commonly known as "TaroTrash"

  • +2

Great prices but some of those designs are pretty questionable.

    • -4

Ones sexuality will also be questioned if they wear this lol

  • +3

So much hate in these comments. I actually quite like the designs.

    • +5

yea man, not everyone has appeared in front of the judge..good luck.

    • +13

Good luck with the trial man. Hope you get a fair judge.

Welcome to any fashion thread on OzB

      • +8

Tarocash and fashion shouldn't be in the same sentence unless "lack of" is somehow involved.

  • The lapel pins look alright for $6 too

  • Don't have much experience with Tarocash but I have with other cheap shirts where they're basically like paper and also are dust and dried skin magnets. Are these the same?

I have some cheap shirts (Myer Blaq) that are ok enough not like this so I have hope :P

    • +1

I don't think they're that bad material wise. They're not going to fall apart or anything. But it's embarassing to wear them.

      • Yep, I agree, embarrassing to say you're wearing Tarocash.

        • +3

All of these brand snobs must be forgetting we are on OzBargain. It's about getting a bargain, not about snobbery.

These are much better than the cheap stuff you get at Target, K-Mart etc. for 3 times the price. I'd much rather wear this than those brands.

        • It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it…

We live in the days where fast fashion is the money maker and popular Australian designers were working with Target, Aldi and Big W just to survive or go bankrupt.

        • @shamona1: Why would you wear shirts from any of those places? Especially when charles tyrwhitt or tm lewin have regular deals for formal and casual shirts which look very sensible and last for years.

        • +2

@shamona1: It isn't a matter of brand snobbery. I am a firm believer of not having to pay a premium on "brands" in order to get nice clothing - nice in terms of styling, comfort, materials, and durability. To me, OzBargain isn't about being cheap. It's about shopping smart. There are so many accessible outlets where you can get much nicer clothes than Tarocash/YD/Politix/Connor/whatever else.

For instance, Uniqlo has very affordable shirts which go on sale quite regularly that look and feel much better (e.g. their Oxford shirts are great value when they go on sale). You don't need 100 shirts. You should aim for a few shirts you can put on rotation to mix and match.

  • +5

Genuinely bottom of the barrel shirts. I'd be more inclined to wear the barrel than the shirts.

  • +4

I purchased a few shirts and will see them in person before I decide to keep them or not.

I have found that some of the shirts have been okay, and I have actually been complimented on the look of some of them when I've been out.

Easy returns if you don't like them.

    • +1

Hope you scored once the compliments were done..

      • +9

Well.. I had to go court the next day..
We all know girls like bad boyz..

  • Are these prices avalable in store?

  • +3

A lot of hate here but my experience with Tarocash has been okay. Bought a couple of shirts, cheers OP!

  • -4

Tarocash, I wouldn't pay a $1 for one of their shirts. The quality is terrible and the designs are circa 80's/90's.

    • What no 80's themed parties coming up? :D

  • -4

Searches youtube instructions on how to unstitch fashion labels from shirts

Wouldn't want any partners accidentally catching what brand this is…

  • +6

I purchased around 10 shirts the last time they did one of these in April 2017. I work in an office so wear these everyday and go in and out of a warehouse.

I'm wearing one of the shirts now and it's still in very good condition. They're a lot better than the cheap stuff you would get at K-Mart, Target for $30.

I've bought expensive shirts for work before and all it takes is brushing up against something sharp and you've ruined it. So I would take 10 of these shirts for the price of 1 expensive shirt any day of the week.

  • -3

Fantastic, now I only need a cheap court hearing and I'm all set.

  • Just bought those socks and a waistcoat. Less than $15 total ahha. Thanks OP

  • How do Tarocash shirts compare to YD?

    • Same as Connor. They're all the same company.

      • Are they actually?

I was shopping between the two last week and they were both openly shitting on each other. Kinda ironic if they're both under the same banner.

        • Query whether ozbargainers should wear any of Tarocash, YD or Connor shirts. Uniqlo are available at the same price point and CT/TM Lewin are not much dearer.

        • +1

          Are they actually?

          http://rag.net.au/

        • @josho9:

The only thing I like about tarocash yd and Connor are that their shirts are a good fit for me

          How does uniqlo sizing compare?

        • +1

          @montorola: Sorry, I don't know.

  • Now you've all given me a complex about buying one of these shirts to wear to a wedding, thnxguyz

    • if it's in a Vegas chapel you will be fine.

  • Seems all the lower prices $11.99 shirts have been raised to $19.99 now…I got a few at $11.99

    • I was waiting on my 20% off voucher code to be fixed up as it wasn't working and now i find that the shirts have been raised in price. Yes Tarocash emailed me out a 20% off next order code which doesn't even work. I had been trying to use it for hours.

On the bright side i saved $80 back in my wallet as there's a minimum order of $80 to pay through Afterpay.
