    +1 for sealed copy!!!!

      • +4

Not sure about you, but it annoys me when the book is ripped, cover is sticky and there's tiny holes in my case. New is new is new is new.

        • +1

@Lorindor: read the other thread.. Everyone got a used "brand new" game haha

        • What I don’t understand is how people can lose the cover art, which I see many times with the preowned copies.

Do they use it as a place mat or something?

        • @ireadtermsofuse: Hahahahaha, that or maybe the copy was abused by their kids. I think most of the time, people just have the disc. Some people do not look after their things.

        • -3

          @hippyhippy:
Not everyone. I always get sealed copies from
          EB.

        • @ireadtermsofuse: they lose the entire case and EB uses an empty one in its place. People probably putting the games in a CD wallet or whatever.

Talk about people jumping on a band-wagon, can't have a difference of opinion around these parts!

Dont forget CashRewards of 6% to bring it down to $51.70

    • Anyone else having trouble getting Amazon to track with Cashrewards? - haven't had a single order track since the new system started being used including all the prime day deals

      • Mine have worked.

I use IE each time, clear cache, no addons installed, no adblocker/av/firewall on my system though

        • Yeah all of my other transactions have worked (8 successful) since Amazon Prime day, just not the Amazon ones which is were i've spent a bit of moolah!

      • All my Prime day deals got tracked, took a day or 2 after but they all came through in one hit. I made sure I only had one browser session open with Amazon and clicked through Cashrewards each time. Do you see all your Amazon visits via Click History? https://www.cashrewards.com.au/clicks
If so, if its been a week you can follow each one up with a support ticket - good luck!

        • Yeah the visits are in the click history so I will have to do that

        • +1

@urbancartel: Did you make sure to add the items in your cart only after clicking through CR? I made the same mistake and mine wasn't tracked for this reason

        • @stuhtb:

Agghhhh for real - i've been adding them to the cart and then activating cashback on the chrome extension (get the green light that cashback is active) that has worked for other sites like eBay etc

2.5k thinking id be getting a bit back for a holiday later in the year….crap!

        • @urbancartel: Message TA and get them to follow it up for you.

        • @theguyrules:

Yeah hopefully as it's still registered the click history it may still be OK - fingers crossed!

        • @urbancartel:
I made 2 purchases 1 week apart (prime day and one on Monday this week) both in my click history but no tracking from CR. I sent through a claim enquiry on the CR website for the prime day purchase and had it pending the next day. Send through a tracking enquiry and you should be all good!

        • +1

@stuhtb: Thanks for pointing this out stuhtb. Please note the following condition applies for Amazon AU:

Items added to your shopping cart before clicking from Cashrewards will not earn Cashback, and will not be eligible for Cashback claims.

Unlike eBay where this process works fine, it will not work for Amazon AU. Please ensure you comply. Thanks :)

      • All my orders have been the wrong price. Spend $30 and it will say I’ve only spent $4

        • Haven't had an issue with shopback. Painful wait times though

      • EDIT - Problem resolved speaking to TA - Make sure you add items after activating Cashback (something I failed to read and clearly stated)
        Now back to the bargains!

Good old amazon.. following along with gaming pricematches instead of leading the way with the best prices.

    • +7

Did you sleep through Prime day?

      • I'm totally happy with the prices of (some) stuff on prime day. Outside of that, they're not really trying.

Or are you satisfied with a retailer that is only cheap on one or two days of the year?

        • They're already starting to lead the market:
          https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2018/05/amazon-australia-has-b…

Dunno if what you're expecting is entirely reasonable if you're expecting their sale prices to be their everyday prices.

        • I've picked up a bargain Kettle, Toaster, Iron, Xbox One, HDD, Bose QC 35ii, Mega Bloks, Go Pro…the list goes on (all on non Prime Day deals) I'm more than satisfied, only thing not satisfied is the CC…

          @zzyss:

Haven't noticed it. And the link is an example of poor journalism.

          Why?

Firstly, keep in mind their comparison stores are not cheap stores. JB and EB? Lol! Big W can be cheap. Target tends to have some good deals too, particularly on new releases, but was excluded. Even when the article compares to rubbish stores, have a detailed look, Amazon still doesn't look good.

Keep in mind I'm talking about regular prices and common sale prices. One or two days a year of prime deals just isn't enough in practical terms (I agree that amazon really kicks butt with prime deal pricing).

          From your link…
God Of War - incorrect, EB was cheaper and Amazon had to pricematch them
Bayonetta 2 - Amazon is the same price as others
Shadow Of The Colossus - rubbish price, OzB knows not to pay more than $20-$25 because it's on sale that often
Monster Hunter World - ok, $10 cheaper if true, haven't been watching this one so can't verify
Dragonball FighterZ - Amazon is the same price as others

Legend of Zelda - $1 cheaper
Super Mario Odyssey - $2 cheaper
Persona 5 - good discount if true, haven't been watching this one so can't verify
Horizon: Zero Dawn - rubbish price, OzB knows not to pay more than $20-$25, let alone $45, because it's on sale that often
NieR: Automata - OGS is way way cheaper and restocks often

          @urbancartel:

My comment is clearly talking about games dude. Just games. I even specified "games". Why? Because this is a thread about games.

          @justtoreply:

Amazes me how someone can neg a factual comment.

        • @justtoreply:

Wasn't me - also note that has happened with my comment above which is also factual

        • @justtoreply:

          Fair enough

        • +3

          @justtoreply:

Did you really need to edit it to be even more sarcastic - take a chill pill mate

        • -2

          @urbancartel:

Sorry wasn't aimed at you.. it was aimed at making it incredibly obvious for these silent neggers.

I've no issues with you mate.

    • They need to start selling tvs and other electronics and destroy tgg bing lee and jb.

  • +1

at this rate EB will be out of business in a year

    • they don’t make major profits from new copies anyway. Digital copies will kill them.

  • +5

If you still have the $10 credit by watching Prime Video for the first time, today is the last day to use it.

My account had problem that credit is not in my account, contacted chat support said the credit had expired. I said no and copy paste the email to show today is the last day. Amazon support happily applied another $10 credit in my account and can be used straight away. Credit showed as "courtesy credit".

    Great support by Amazon!!

    • +1

thanks for that. I tried to checkout and was missing my $10 too so on with Amazon Chat Support to try and get my credit.

    • +2

I wonder if the courtesy credit has an expiry date

      • +1

Amazon chat support said The credit will expire on Wednesday, 31 December 2036.

      • I got told it has no expiry date.

    • Can you still get the $10 credit?

  • +1

Glad I got it on Amazon prime sale the other day as cheaper.

  • Pretty good deal, and a great game. Visuals are stunning.

  • Might stick with EB for the ease of price protection.

  • I'm starting to understand why so many console gamers enjoy and use physical media moreso than us digital only crowd on the PC…
So many deals and discounts on these boxed things, still nothing digitally =(

Fingers crossed for Black Friday/Cyber Monday I guess.

    • +1

Also you get to resell it again once you are finished with it, or lend it to a friend.

Its just easier with physical media but as for digital the convenience of not swapping discs is attractive in this rapid digital age of consuming media.

      • Hehe yeah. I think for me it harkens back to my PS1/2/3 days where discs would get scratched or lost, or in the case of my PS3 where the disc reader itself just straight up died and became unusable to the point where I decided to go full digital.
Also yes I'm a lazy man; If I can get away with flipping through games in my library without having to get up and swap discs then I will :P

  • +2

it is showing $78 can anyone help

    • Could be sold out :(

    • +1

      Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo….
I do not want to buy from EB games

      • +2

Price match EB anywhere else, such as JB or Harvey Norman. You can price match at Harvey Norman on live chat and use a free shipster membership to get free shipping.

  • +2

    missed ffs again…

    • pricematch EB games while you can!

    • Buy at Costco for 49

    • Assuming you have a gaming backlog, just wait for the next sale. I'm a few months it'll come down even more.

      • ^ This. It's not exactly a first-party Nintendo game. It will inevitably come out as a re-release, remaster, best hits, etc. etc. at which point it'll be in the $20-30 range if not lower. Just depends on how patient you can be.
