Duplicate post? Was posted first here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/391833
I guess Microsoft lowered the price by nearly $1

    • not duplicate, as you can see that say $10.95. I did see that before posting.

        • +7

I'm just reading the titles, not checking links mate. Just trying to help out the community as the price is lowered then the first post. But thanks for being a keyboard warrior.

@brandogs: The right thing to do would be notify the moderators to update the other deal's title. Rather than post another deal with the same link.

        • So? By your logic, anytime a product is lowered in price and that product page is the same link as a previous deal, we can't make a new deal, we rather need to go searching through old deals since it's the same link to update that one.

Imagine if the next Xiaomi phone goes on sale but it has the same product link at lightinthebox as a previous deal? So it's the same link so it can't be a new deal, rather go digging through the site for some deal from whenever and update that?

Not very practical. The fact it's the same link means nothing.

      • The price dropped from $10.95 to $9.99.

    • Not a duplicate. Different prices = different deals unless the price is insignificant. 9% I'd say is a reasonable drop.

      • -3

But both deals have the same link (just the old deal needs an update to the title).

The down side of having this as a new deal is there will be similar repeated discussions and the XBox Live portion of the deal is not listed here (so if you are interested in doing the CR + XBox Live Gold deal, you still have to go to the other discussion).

Geez give it a rest, dude. I saw the last deal and thought maybe i'd get it. Now i see this deal and i think yeah i might jump in now. I appreciate OP alerting us all to this NEW DEAL.

What's with all the doops today

Once again not a duplicate… old post was $10.95 this is $9.99

  • Making the $53 deal look heaps expensive! lol

    • That $53 is for Xbox Live Gold for 12 months.

This here is Xbox Game pass for 3 months. It's a completely different product.

      • I think he means that the $53 deal works out more expensive per month.

Edit: Oh sorry… I get it now.

        • Correct .. pro rata this deal would provide 12 months for $39.96

just need some friends to buy another 3 and gift it to you! ;-)

        • @Wally: can you gift more than one of the same item to a single friend or would you need 3 friends?

  • Noob question - but what is the difference between gold pass & individual title season pass? Was thinking of downloading 'battlefield 1' and would like to play online

    • You need Xbox Gold to connect with the global community hub of Xbox gamers,
while the BF1 season pass allows you to play all aspects of that particular game with other Xbox Gold subscribers who also have that particular game title

      • Ok cool - so I've got gold pass, so if I buy battlefield revolution I can play online? I just spotted some titles that had season passes and wondered if that I had to purchase that also - cheers for the info

    • are you talking about EA Access?

      • Nah I was meaning more in general as I had spotted some games that also had season passes for sale in the Xbox store - cheers

        • Such game passes entitles you to enhance the base game with all the DLC which could comprise extra Maps, extensions to campaign scenario, and maybe upgraded weapons/characters etc

        • A season pass is for one game. This is for 100+ games.

  • This can’t be for existing members as when I sign in the price changes from $9.99 for 3 months to only being able to purchase the standard 1-month pass for $10.95…
On a side note, if I cancel my subscription would I then be able to buy it for the lower price?

Hmm, it says I can buy as a gift for $9.99, but subsequently tries to charge me $32.85. Another fine Microsoft mess.

Some info from the discussion from the other deal posted (on the GamePass part). You probably want to delay purchase of the GamePass until early August (assuming Microsoft doesn't change the price) because new games get added at the beginning of the month (plus another reason for getting GamePass now is Forza Horizon 4 - otherwise, you would wait for the $1 for a month GamePass deals available from time to time). The following games will leave GamePass on July 31 / August 1, so if you want to play any of these, you want to get GamePass now, instead of waiting until after August 1.

    • DiRT Rally
    • Overcooked
    • Pharaonic
    • So Many Me
    • Ultratron

And, of course, combine with CR. Also, if your account is linked to Microsoft rewards, you will probably get some extra reward points (better than nothing).

    • Damn… Dirt Rally going eh?

If you already had it installed, and then they remove it from game pass does that mean you can no longer play it?

      • +1

That's correct. Basically, if you really like that game, play as much as possible before July 31. Microsoft tends to offer a slight discount for games leaving Game Pass (to active Game Pass subscribers). Page indicating the titles leaving GamePass on July 31. I assume US time (but not certain). DiRT4 was added this month so an option is to play DiRT4 instead.

I struggled with Dirt Rally. Had to play it back in Feb or March - due to the GamePass quest offer - $5 voucher if you played enough hours. The quests lately are not as good (no $5 voucher).

July Game Pass Quests - already finished:

Complete both Quests listed below to get a Foxbat Brassilisk from The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, plus a chance to win a gold-plated Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition.

Quest 1: Play 60 minutes, three days in a row in any Xbox Game Pass title before July 9
Quest 2: Earn three achievements in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited from July 10-16

        • Have never seen where these quests are mentioned, something you received via email? I'm not a huge gamer and pissy little ingame rewards have never really interested me, but a $ voucher here and there would be nice.

  • So if i get this now, i'll have access to Forza Horizon 4 on day 1. Worth it just for that, thanks OP!

  • Can anyone please confirm if you need gold to get this price? Mine expires in 1 day so i need to know if i should buy it now or if i can wait till the final day of the sale?

    • +1

you don't need gold to get this price. As far is I'm aware its for new/inactive users so if you let yours expire you should be able to get it for this price.

  • Sweet! I was holding off using my Amazon GPs for a good game but I’m gonna pull the trigger on this tomorrow. Downloading trial games in the meantime. Cheers, OP.

  • It's dead Jim :(
