Was looking to book some hotels so this deal came up at the right time.

Cashback is only eligible on accommodation bookings. Any non-accommodation bookings (flights, car rentals, etc) are not eligible for cashback.

  I never had a successful cashback using cashrewards for booking.com. Happened multiple times.

      No ad blocker, etc. Made several purchase on the same day, all gone through except Booking

        Did you click on any of their sponsored hotels or ads? Those can attribute commission elsewhere.

    I just booked four hotels in japan and Singapore for later this year.
    They tracked within 10 minutes and I got confirmation from cashrewards.

    I checked on two different periods (on the same hotel in Hong Kong) that I have been keeping an eye on over the last 2-3 months and the rates are exactly the same, without a hint of a better deal, let alone 15% discount. I had nasty experience with Booking.com on its "special offers" before so would be very cautious of booking through them.

      I am the opposite. I been tracking a couple hotels for Japan later this year.
      The price dropped at least 15% on all the hotels we were looking at and we booked and got cash back emails within 10 Minutes.

  So in other words this isn't a deal at all. By comparison you get 3% cash back with hotels.com but then their rewards scheme is basically worth 10%. Plus Orbitz always have 15% discount codes that apply to probably 50% of hotels.
