  • Finally - Aldi sells a front loader washing machine! They always have just sold that awful top loader.

$379 pretty good price too…if it lasts well!

For that price why go to a laundrette - at $6 per load at laundrette - after only 60 washes this one has paid for itself.

What about the water and electricity cost?

      • What about fuel and time costs getting to the laundrette?

  • Would anyone like to comment on the garment steamer please? Thanks!

    • I like to know too…

      • do not buy garment steamers. Think about how hot your iron is, the garment steamers can't compete with a good iron

I used nothing but a steamer for 5+ years. They are fast and convenient, and maybe not a direct competitor to irons.

You can get cheap ones that perform well on eBay for ~$100, so this is a good deal. They are great for ironing light items like t-shirts, work shirts in less than half the time. But no creasing, or very hard to do. They build up calcium after 6-12 months and could have a short life if you don't descale / use demineralised water.

  • Anyone bought one of their condensing dryers before? I have a second hand asking which just doesn't dry the clothes well unless it is a small load.

  • Any more information on the dryer? That's pretty cheap for a condenser

      Please see updated post.

  • my F&P vented dryer just died, was looking at a condenser dryer. so far cheapest I have found is a 8kg Haier $649 (hardly normal) and the Bosch ones are closer to $899…

Anyone used this condenser dryer before ?
