For anyone wondering, it has a similar texture to sorbet. But it has no refined sugar. I recommend, however it has xylitol ( an artificial sweetener) which some might upset some peoples stomachs.

    • +3

But it has no refined sugar

Pureed fruit acts like refined carbohydrates. Fruit smoothies are unhealthy.

      • -4

no they arent. Smoothies contain fibre which slows the absorption of fructose. Thereby spiking blood sugar and insulin less.
People arent getting fat off fruit smoothies, they ARE getting fat off soft drinks.

EDIT: fruit smoothies also contain nutrients, antioxidants etc.
Where do people here this stuff lmao?

        • +3

Smoothies contain fibre however it's in a different structure compared to whole fruit. It means that the sugar can be absorbed much faster than when you eat whole fruit.

Liquid meals also empty from the stomach more quickly than solid foods, which can leave you feeling hungry sooner.

Also, you can drink a smoothie more rapidly than the time it takes to eat, say, Greek yogurt and a cup of berries sprinkled with a tablespoon of chia seeds. Certainly quicker than the 20 minutes it takes your brain to register satiety and signal it's time to stop eating.

Here is someone that has never needed to check their BGLs before.

The more you chop up food the more you break the chains of glucose and the quicker the glucose hits your blood stream. Fruit smoothies are terrible for BGLs.

Carbs are makin people fat, not just soft drinks.

@spaceflight: agree…boost juice made me fat!

    Puree fruit or baby food

Packed in Australia from local and imported ingredients.

Given the manufacturer's track record, I wouldn't risk it.

Mango Puree (Mango, Food Acids [330, 300]), Coconut Water, Banana Puree (Banana, Food Acids [330, 296, 300]), Sweetener (Xylitol), Soluble Corn Fibre, Organic Date Paste, Green Tea Powder, Emulsifier (471), Vegetable Gums (410, 412), Stabiliser (466).

Three purees and various additives which have been emulsified, gummed and stabilised.

Yup … still no idea what this is.

  • Another one is described as an "acai bowl", I've seen them being sold around, still not exactly sure what it is, but it seems to be similarly sold like those fruit salad/yoghurt.

  • I think Matcha is Japanese for boring taste.

    • What about mango?

    • +4

goto japan and have matcha flavored items, you will think differently, unfortunately matcha is shit outside of japan cause its not real matcha but matcha flavoring.

      • +1

Everything is just better in Japan

  • What is this?

  • +1

Most likely made with frozen Vietnam mango

I wonder if the mango is cooked to kill any hep a

    • Well said

      • Better than cooking it, let's not contaminate the mango in the first place

  • Worth the $3 just to find out what it is.

  • If you buy one and don't like it, just don't feed it to your dog. Xylitol is known to cause liver failure in dogs. I have eaten a matcha bowl, I found the taste bitter, not a fan. The addition of mango might improve the taste, however it may still taste average and hence the half price deal

  • +7

I just brought one, I felt it is more like a smoothie,
The mango matcha one is sweeter than I expected and really nothing like Matcha,
there is also another favour, Acai bowl, I haven't tried.
Overall, for $3, I think its ok but definitely not worth $6.

btw, awful color for the mango matcha

    • +4

      Thank you for conducting research.

  • tbn, not worth $3, and taste not good

  • +1

So it’s the opposite to green tea Macha?

  • +1

Still scrolling to find out what this is…

  • I need to know the carb count.

the other one, acai something, encourage you to add your own toppings. The mystery deepens….
