"My kids got badly burned!! But hey, I saved like 80%" -winning

Those were the aerosol sprays that were causing people to get burnt (who would have guessed that not applying enough sunscreen would result in sunburn?)
This pump action bottle presumably doesn’t have the same issue.

      • was user error sprayed it on like deodorant and expected it to work by magic

Are kids getting burned? I thought that was the Peppa Pig Cancer Council one.

      That's a horrible marketing ploy. I mean peppa pig's skin is pink…

As effective protection as vegetable oil would be. Fry the kids

I dunno why anyone is complaining. I'm going to empty the contents into a squeeze and use the sprayer for other liquids.

That is if people I buy this for can't actually spray themselves like the people "that got burnt".

  • Chemical sunscreens are trash. Zinc oxide only thank you.

    • Not sure if stupid or trolling …..

      • Zinc based sunscreens are effective and they don't cause the skin irritation that alot of chemical sunscreens do.

There's nothing wrong with using chemical sunscreens if they work for you but Zinc based is better IMO.

        • +5

Zinc oxide IS a chemical FFS.

People need to know that the lower the SPF the more effective it is against UV. Alot of people think the higher the SPF, the better it is..

In November 2012, the Therapeutic Goods Administration announced a new standard for sunscreens sold in Australia, increasing the maximum sun protection factor from SPF30+ to SPF50+.

The higher SPF offers the same level of Ultra Violet B (UVB) protection, with added Ultra Violet A (UVA) protection.

UVB is the major cause of sunburn and increased skin cancer risk, while UVA contributes to ageing of the skin, as well as higher skin cancer risk.

      What’s the difference between SPF30+ and SPF50+?

Many Australians are surprised to learn that SPF50+ only offers marginally better protection than SPF30+. SPF50+ filters out 98% of UVB radiation, while SPF30+ blocks out 96.7% of UVB.

SPF50+ sunscreen still needs to be applied liberally as with any other sunscreen – see our recommendations below on how to apply it properly.
