It might be imported from China and packaged in NZ.

jv spoke the truth, though it's likely to be 100% NZ.

It isn't imported from China. Each jar includes a batch number which shows the hive location within New Zealand

  • How can honey be airborne??

      How can honey be airborne??

      It flew to Australia.

    • How can honey be airborne?

I'm more concerned at how it was creamed?

    blend,not pure.

Half price - maybe corresponds to the fact that half of many honey bees are intentionally killed by their hive owners every winter; can't have the bees consuming their own honey.

    • Maybe space aliens killed them. Maybe, right?

    • can't have the bees consuming their own honey

      It's our honey, not theirs.

  • (Squeaky voice) I prefer my honey creamed with helium

Any Manuka without a UMF or MGO rating you can safely ignore, unless you're after it as a sweetener and not health benefits.

In addition, such honey is usually imported from overseas given real manuka companies in NZ stay in NZ and proudly support their locale.

If you ever see honey with label "from local and imported' if ignore like the plague as it usually from China.

    • so is this real stuff or shit stuff

      • seems like non UMF or MGO according to this article:
        http://www.manukanatural.com/blog/manuka-honey-labels-what-t…

"Many of these sellers are adding totally fictitious numbers to their labels like 15+, 16+ 20+ 25+ etc.

Unless these numbers are accompanied with the UMF trademark and the UMFHA licence number they are totally meaningless.

Yet others are putting numbers on their labels which indicate the pollen count of their Manuka honey, this is legitimate as it gives the customer confidence that it is genuine Manuka honey as pollen count or pollen type can be used to determine the floral source of the honey and its purity. However unless this number which may be as high as 75+ in one example I saw is stated clearly as referring to the pollen count, it could also be misleading to the purchaser.

Even if it has a certified pollen count and the pollen source is confirmed as Manuka pollen, it still does not indicate that this honey has any additional antibacterial properties.

Another confusing factor with using pollen count is that it is very difficult to differentiate Manuka pollen with Kanuka pollen from a close relative of Manuka which frequently grows in the same locations."

so is this real stuff or shit stuff

        Looks in-between, it's a blend of normal honey & Manuka (without a UMF/MGO rating)
So buy it as a healthy alternative sweetener, it has 0 non-peroxide activity which is present in high-grade Manukas that kill bacteria.

  • This is real stuff product of NZ Blended honey that means standard honey blended with manuka honey I know this product & been buying it for years here and prior in NZ and good price $11 so no problem for my purchase thanks OP BARGAIN
