It's polyester, less flammable than typical materials… Basically plastic.
They say keep away from fire because it could melt, ie don't sit Infront of the fire place wearing polyester…
You can't easily say polyester is less flammable as it depends on a number of things.
Heavy, tight weave fabrics will burn more slowly than loose weave, light fabrics of the same material.
The surface texture of the fabric also affects flammability.
Fabrics with long, loose, fluffy pile or brushed nap will ignite more readily than fabrics with a hard, tight surface, and in some cases will result in flames flashing across the fabric surface.
Once ignited polyester and other synthetic fabrics melt. This hot, sticky, melted substance causes localized and extremely severe burns. The drops of molten plastic also help to spread the fire much faster than a burning piece of natural fiber.
Don't think polyester really burns hot enough to its self melt, drip and spread a fire… The risk is actually the opposite - it shrinks and sticks to your body rather than burning up and falling away.
Not sure that's necessary, just don't wear it by any fire (campfire/fire place/etc) and you should be perfectly fine.

Thanks goodness size S isn't available or I would have bought another jacket I do not need. Haven't even opened the last package of Lee Cooper jackets I bought from them lol
Not sure how the sizing works, you could go up a size to M to make a better/looser fit. (Their Everlast jackets are renowned to be a size or two smaller than expected, not sure how these ones compare.)

Yes, there are quite a few that look good. Considering Australia Post charges almost $8 for minimum charge for any item over 2cm thick, I figured this was a bargain with postage included but others might suit you better (eg some seemed to be fleece rather than just polyester). Glad it helped you out :)
