  • would be good to know what the savings (against original msrp, or best ozb price) are.

Link is really weird, you have to google Refurbished Stock Sale: Sennheiser and click on the first link. Once you've done that, the link in the post will work fine.

  • Wow this seemingly dodgy post actually may have some gems in it. I'd trust genuine refurbs (but would do a Google to check), especially with a 2yr warranty. $260 for the 550s is a great price I think.

Senn PXC550 was $250 from Qantas store new.
    That deal is over now.

  • HD 4.40’s out of stock already. I keep missing them.

    • +1

I wouldn't spend money on them. Paid $198 at JB. Wish I could return them.

  • I picked up a pair of 4.40 in the last sale, love them and they are much better than my HD 429.

Not sure if the discount code still works if anyone wants one.

    • Was going to pick up a pair for the kids at that price but OOS already. Discount code seems to no longer work either.

  • OP, are you associated with Sennheiser or did you accidentally hit the check box?

  • Got two from last sale and they worked great, except one of them missed the carrying pouch. They said they are going to send me one. Other people reported missing accessories as well. Just make sure you know what should be included.

  • Noooooo!!!!!@
You made me to pay $470!!!!!!!!!!!
I already bought $1000 ebay gc

  • whats better between urbanite xl wireless vs HD450BTNC?

    • pulled trigger on HD4.50BTNC

hey, for whoever bought the momentum wireless (over ears) last time, are they any good? how do they compare to the sony 1000mx2? Thanks

  • Thanks OP, bought the HD4.50BTNC, great price cheers!

    • Received my pair today, no original box but stock looks brand new.

  • Thanks OP. I got the last Momentum Wireless Overear :D

  • Great pricing. Can confirm from my last order that the units are like new.

  • Thanks OP. Was upset I missed out on the 4.40s previously but ended up grabbing the 4.50BT this time around!

  • Order shipped!

    Huh?

  • MOMENTUM Wireless refurbished appear out of stock. Just missed out

    • I was very keen on these too except it seems ANC is always on with no way to switch off?

      • Oh that's a shame. Just did some reading and you're correct. Though it can be turned off when in wired mode. I would actually prefer just the standard wired momentum 2's in that case. ANC and wireless are not something that I am concerned about having, they were just bonuses. I also read one account of someone saying that the wired and wireless versions do not sound exactly the same (even with the wireless in wired mode) and the user wrote that they preferred the wired version. So I think I'll keep my eye out for a set of the momentum 2's in future

  • bah, as usual everything i want from here is already out of stock :(

  • momentum wireless over ear and RS175 are both out of stock :(

  • order processed and supposedly shipped. Startrack tracking details doesn't come up in order shipment details tho. Donno if Op can fix that too

    • Yeah the tracking info provided doesn't work on Star Tracks site.

    • Mine just arrived today after ordering yesterday! Tracking details still don't work though lol

      • received today as well, no original box but great value with the 2 year warranty.

if you email customer service they will give you the correct tracking code that will work.

        very happy.

  • Which would you guys choose between the HD 4.50 and the PXC 550?
    I'm pretty torn

    • i went with HD4.50 bc I didn't need the fancy gesture and 'business class comms' or the more fancy pouch of PCX550. those things aren't worth $100 premium to me. sound and NC are pretty much same. check Jim's review room channel on YouTube for decent reviews.

    • At different times, I managed to test both the HD 4.50 and PXC 550 when they were displayed in shops. For long periods of usage like long haul flights, I will find the HD 4.50 on-ear design less comfortable than the (bigger) around-ear design of the PXC 550. Just my thoughts.

      • i thought both were over ear designs.

What did you think of any difference in sound?

        • I found the HD 4.50 earpads were resting on my earlobes whereas the PXC 550 ones were around them. Whilst the HD 4.50 earpads were cushiony and mould comfortably on my ears I don't think I will like long hours of that. YMMV, I suggest you try them out at your local corner shop.
If pushed for a decision, I will subjectively pick the PXC 550 for sound though I would really like to do a side-by-side comparison first.

        • @leon:

so i got the PXC 550 too now and I have to say it is next level better by a long way. Much more thoughtful design details from metal rails on head band, touch control, better ear cup and angled driver. less muffled sound too, cleaner, crisper highs.

i take back what I said before about the difference not worth the money, I can now compare side to side and I am keeping PXC 550 and returning 4.50 BTNC .

  • Just be aware of extra CC fees.
I got the RS 120 II for a relative as a standby for a failing Philips wireless set. Delivery was prompt but I found on my Visa card statement a charge for "OVERSEAS TXN FEE $3.00 AUD" so the $99.95 became $102.95

    • I think this is a fee from your credit card or bank as it is an international transaction. Is there any mention of this on their website when you made the purchase? If not then you should contact them and ask for this to be refunded.

A year ago I placed an order from them and found the transaction fee. I complained and they ended up sending me a set of replacement pads. Not ideal but at least they did something. They should state on their website that the transaction is done overseas and international transaction fees may apply. I told them this but it seems as though they did nothing.

      • they have this in the site FAQs

Will my purchase attract additional financial institution fees?

Sennheiser does not charge financial institution fees to our customers. We encourage customers to check with their card issuing financial institution for any additional service charges or fees that may apply.

        • This information does not help. How do you know it will be international transaction before you purchase from their website? All prices are in Australian dollars and they have Australian contact details listed. If you know it is an international transaction then sure you should check for additional charges.

And in any case, this statement was listed when I made my purchase and after contacting them about the fee, they admitted that there was no where on their website that listed anything about an international transaction fee. Very disappointing.

        • @Rodo:

depends on bank I guess. i didn't get any additional fee.

  • Anyone else who ordered the 4.40s still waiting on shipping?

  • I ordered HD4.40 last Friday still waiting for it. Order status showing “fulfilment started”.
I contacted the customer service they said they don’t have it in stock.

  • Got a momentum wireless.. didn’t hear anything for a week. Contacted customer service. They dont have the refurbished ones left. So they offered to sent me a brand new one instead. First sennheriser product for me. I’d say I will be purchasing more of their product in the future.

  • I got a pair of pxc 550's, but I'm going to return them. Even when wired with NC off, there's white noise that I can hear whilst listening to music and it drives me mental. They don't exactly sound that good either. The Yamaha wireless headphones I bought a few months back sound miles better and only cost $150. Pretty disappointed with them. I expected better from Sennheiser.

    • Hi. Maybe your pair has a fault. I received mine a few days ago. Out of the box the headphones have a neutral profile. For music you need to use the Club effect mode. It boasts the loudness, highs and low frequencies. To tinker even more you need the Captune app for iOS and Android to customise the graphic equaliser and smart controls. I didn't hear the white noise you are hearing and the noise cancelling is quite good. I have the Soul by Ludacris, the Acoustic Research headphones and the Plantronics Backbeat Sense. After tweaking the sound settings the PXC 550 outshines the mentioned headphones. The track pad is a bit too sensitive and can stop or start your music inadvertently and one person complained about cutting a call. The gestures need some time to get used to. You have to read the manual because some are not obvious! Hope that helps.

  • got the HD 4.50, wasn't happy with it, padding too hard, too bulky and sounded barely acceptable. The customer support was happy to take the return. Have ordered the last PXC 550 in their stock, hope it's not a bad one.

  • hi op any stock left for 175?
