    It's $31 each month

    • That's what I assumed

  • $31 a month for 6 months

I still wouldn't read this rag if they paid me $31 for 6 months…

Expensive toilet paper, in my opinion.

I wouldn't even give it that much credence.

    • i don't know. $31 for a 6months supply of TP is pretty good.
It would be a pretty harsh to use though.

    people still read news papers?

    • -1

The majority of the population can't read full stop.

      • +3

        What did you say?

      • Many also cannot spell "newspapers" it would seem. Not that I can blame Trantor. To us old fogeys, news used to mean the morning paper, the afternoon paper and the evening news, followed by a current affairs program if you wanted a bit more in dept, with maybe some ABC radio throughout the day. I do wish keyboard manufacturers would start shipping their products with shift keys though.

      • That'd be the target audience.

You'd have to be backwards to pay for printed news these days but to pay for printed NEWS LTD garbage you'd need to see a psychiatrist and be given heavy medication

Are they paying us this to read their content ?

  • Why haven't they swapped to digital only already?

Fudgefax (eg Brisbane Times) is now ad-walling some of their articles
ie if you have ad-blocker on, no socialist propaganda for you!

there's still ABC, if you care to shift thru the pro boatpeople and anti-Trump articles

    • Can you link me to an example? I haven't come across any Brisbane Times articles I can't access.

    • no socialist propaganda for you!

      Exactly. BT is trash.

Yeah SbS is better I found.

Happy to sift through pro-refugee stuff, but the anti-Trump stuff is petty and not even close to being objective. At least with the Hun, its easy to spot the bias and opinion dressed up as a journalistic story.

The Hun does have an excellent sport section which I imagine is what most readers are interested in.
