Recent Groupon amaysim Deal, Something Wrong

As per this deal, 6 X 28 day Amaysim 1GB unlimited was sold at Groupon for $8.49 (after 15% discount).

When I log into my Amaysim account, it has a promotional banner that reads:

"Promotion - Free UNLIMITED 1GB. Valid to: 28 Dec 2018"

which is 6 months from my activation date.

The word "Free" does not recognise that I paid $8.49 for this promotion. Isn't something wrong here?

Either Groupon got this deal for free and sold for $10 (or $8.49 after 15% discount), or Amaysim banner is wrong.

  Looks fine, you paid Groupon $10/$8.49 for a coupon that gave you six months Amaysim access. You gave cash, you got six months. Simples. :)

  Most likely they did. They may have also got a kick back from Amaysim. It would be marketing for Amaysim.

  It's probably just the way Amaysim decided to label your credit in their customer system.
