I got one of these when i moved to Canberra, and it keeps me pretty warm on my commute to work. The hood and fake fur are detachable if they don't suit your style. The pockets are really nice as they have both a button closeable pocket and side pockets to put your hands in.

Similarly to the Macpac, these jackets may run a bit large so you may want to order a size down (unless you want to go for the full Michelin Man look)

One thing that I'm not sure about is where Uniqlo source their down, as it is not provided on their website.

Edit: I did a bit more digging, so even though they are not part of the Responsible Down Standard, their FAQs state their down is not sourced from live-plucked animals.

    Yep, one reason I bought my down jacket from Columbia is because Uniqlo's aren't responsibly sourced.

    Bought last week in store for 99 as well, incredibly warm. Same warmth as my other Kathmandu epiq one.
