Selling Shares Using Online Service

Hi
Does anyone have experience using online services like sellmyshares.com.au? Can anyone recommend a reputable service with low fees that I can use to sell shares?
Thanks

Steer clear of sellmyshares.com.au - ripoff merchants.

Probably easiest to open an account with a broker like Comsec and they'll guide you on the sale.

Etrade, commsec, nabtrade, ICmarkets, FP markets are all well regarded.

Are you going to be a regular trader? CommSec nab etrade, almost any of the big banks have a trading service. They are all fine.

How did you get your shares in the first place? If it’s shares gift by someone or your company and you just want a once off sale it’s ususlly expensive. If you can provide more details we could be more helpful.

  • Do you have a broker? i,e. your shareholding number starts with an X.

If it starts with an I you sometimes can sell it direct with the share registry.

  • Hi. It was shares given to us. It’s just once off.

  • Thanks for your suggestions everyone.

I just (this week) used a mob called "Self Wealth" to sell some shares.
Pretty painless after joining them (free) and they only charge $9.50 per transaction.
