Vivid Wireless 4G Modem $127.80 C&C or + Delivery @ The Good Guys eBay

490
P20GOOD

With TGG ebay current 20% promo, this brings the modem price down to one of the lowest prices ever.

Should include free 2nd month, and 3rd month free if using a random referral code here on activation.

Been on it for about 5 months now, quite stable connection no dropout. Can get a bit congested around 7pm'ish sometimes, but still can stream Netflix. Def recommended for short term solution. Usually 200gb for 70/month or unlimited for 90/month.

Enjoy :)

  • Just need some confirmation before I pull the trigger on this. My spintel ADSL is useless giving 1.5Mbps and constantly dropping out with NBN at least 2 years away. My work mobile Optus 4G sim in my iphone SE at home gives 25-30Mbps (using speedtest) at various times of morning, afternoon and evening. I have 2 Optus 2300 towers pretty close. If I buy this modem I can then buy an Optus data SIM (100G for $80 per month), stick it in the modem and run everything at home via wifi at 25-30Mbps? The data sim comes with unmetered netflix and ABC etc so I can stream this to my tv unmetered too in SD only?

    • No. This modem have speed limit. 12M download. 1M upload. You better get the Huawei e5186 Which no speed limit.

      • Are you sure? A few posts earlier indicated that if you put in an Optus sim there is no 12M limit.

        • Well. I am not 100% sure. You better ask those people who post that, are they sure if you put in an Optus sim there is no 12M limit?

          I thought the modem is locked for speed limit, not like Optus Huawei E5186.

        • +1

          @j00828:
          The modem is not speed locked, the Vivid Wireless sim is.

          I'm 100% sure as I'm a Vivid Wireless user.

  • looks like it's $199 now ($159 with code)

  • This modem have speed limit. which is turn down. I bought Optus Huawei E5186 from gumtree for $90, Which no speed limit, and I signed up Optus 200gb iPad MMB plan for $70 few months ago. Sold the iPad for $450.

    The speed I get are 50M~90M download. 10M~30M upload. Much much better than ADSL2+ I have before.
