    Best. Snack. Ever.

Just got a notification about it :D
    Early offer via app.

  • Excludes Hobart. For some reason.

    • -2

I think that's because Tasmanians only eat road kill.

    • Is it just Hobart or all Tasmanian stores?

      • Wait, there's more than one KFC in Tasmania?

  • -5

Anyone else getting sick of these offers? Not knocking op AT ALL but just… I realise they are in the junk food business but does anyone else just look and go… 'meh'

Anyone else getting sick of these offers?

      No, no and no.

      • -1

I'm about 5-10kg's overweight, hence why I'm concerned now. Had a mate who passed away who was pretty much 160kg over the tonnage limit for his frame.

        • +7

So learn some self control. What you eat and how much you eat is your choice.

        • @mxlegend99: Uhh… that's EXACTLY why I go 'meh'. I'd rather not add more to the problem! It always seems to be on the cheapest and most profitable items possible.

For McDonald's, if it was an offer where one could get a lettuce leaf wrap burger for 50% off or a salad then I'd be liking that. But it always seems to be on the chips or ice cream.

Mate as mx said it is self control. Junk food don't cause obesity, overeating and lack of self control does, even overeating lettuce can technically cause overweight (it is 15 cal per 100g, calories is calories after all). I can eat junk food all I want but as long as it is under my daily calories intake, my weight won't change. Of course, it is not good for long term due to diet balance.

If you want healthy food like lettuce leaf wrap burger or something, just make it at home by self cooking.

        • @youkatei: That's what I have been doing, plus I'm saving a ton of money by cooking at home

        • +1

@mxlegend99: That's not how it works according to science.

It is how it works according to marketing campaigns that have caused 70% of Australia to overeat to the point of being overweight or obese.

        • @Diji1: People need to take responsibility for their own actions. As adults we are more than capable of making informed decisions on what we eat. I know plenty of people who indulge because there is a good deal, but they don't eat eat eat until they are overweight!

I love KFC! The advertisements do make me hungry for some fried chicken. I do not go out and buy KFC multiple times a week and over consume. Adults know how to moderate their own diets, we aren't children.

I feel the same with all the computer parts deals that always gets upvoted. Awaits all the incoming negs

      • Computer parts generally aren't too dangerous to your health though

        • +6

          Depends how much you eat

          @MustResistPurchase:

Yep. To use names such as microchip is misleading. I had very bad indigestion after that.

@tomsco: You need to take a few more bytes next time, it makes it easier

Comfortably the worst ads on TV at the moment.

  • Popcorn chicken 1 large chips, 1 regular chips and drink for $12. Pretty pretty pretty good

  • This offer is not everywhere and not forever. Exlcudes Hobart. App users only, offer ends 9/7/2018.

  • Sydney George st is finally available in the app

    • Victoria Gardens Vic is now as well.

No H&S on the App though, so they might have stopped it.

      • Can confirm hot and spicy is still available at Vic Gardens. You can swap the original recipe for hot and spicy in the app too

        • No H&S as of last night, was told since the reno, not available.

          Mixed up here I think

App has no H&S for this store, never has since it came online.

You do understand that this Store was the last Store standing in VIC for all round H&S all year round

People traveled for hours for it.

          RIP

  • Great! I love a bit of potatoes with my chicken salt.

  • -1

Does anyone know when this will be available without the app?

  • Can Confirm no H&S at Victoria Gardens any more.

Don't trust online at this store, never showed up, they gave it to me anyway, without asking I showed them the Bank account transaction as well.

I have extra napkins from Maccas, but do I really need to eat the Coleslaw using the Chips?

Maybe they could make a Chip in the shape of a spoon to save the hassle.

BTW Chips and Coleslaw tastes great.
