    Just a note to check the Water Resistance rating.
    Some are WR50, some are WR100.
    WR50 means no swimming, but WR100 should be ok.

      I worked for several years in a jewellery store that was also a watch specialist. Our customer educated on water resistance was along the lines of:

      Water resistant (no number): splash-proof only, do not immerse.
      30m water resistant: splash-proof only, do not immerse.
      50m: suitable for swimming in fresh and chlorinated water. Not for hot water (i.e. showers) or diving.
      100m: suitable for all of the above and salt water. Not for hot water (i.e. showers) or diving.
      200m: suitable for all of the above plus scuba diving. Not for hot water (i.e. showers).
