Can't have banh mi with a little bit of spice… Raw chilli doesn't have a mild setting. As for their banh mi.. Its average. Not bad.. But nothing to write home about.
Bahn mi always comes in that paper bag. You’re meant to eat it straight away. The baguette loses its crunchiness after a short while
I ate it basically straight away (maybe 2-3 mins to find a table).
"Thankyou" for the "Banh Mi" deal.
thanks OP
Will check it out.
Not expecting Cabramatta or Bankstown prices though, will definitely have the north sydney mark up.
a 20% mark-up on free is still free :)
There is place called Saigon rolls around the corner that make pretty goo banh mi. They charge about 7+ I think… Thats prob what u can expect. Definitely no Cabra prices
Let's put it this way, if you ever get 1 FREE roll, you will never paid FULL price once (in average)… so every time is a bargain !
Price i think is usually 6 bucks which is still a bargain compared to normal sandwiches these days
Crazy whats worse is when servers roll their eyes when you dont want the spam!
Is spam. Is good.
15 min wait from about 11am for me
right now the line is about 40m long :)
Damn my name does not check out
Nope, I was just coming out of the station, saw the line and took a photo
This was a great promotion. I waited in line for 7 mins for my roll, joining the queue at 11.50. There were 5 people serving. They weren't accepting any excuses from people who wanted more than 1 roll which is how it should be.
How was it? Better than Saigon Rolls?
My roll was very good - I had chicken. I have never eaten at Saigon Rolls.
Destination Roll are alright for a free feed but I'll just share my experience: they don't know what a little bit of spice/chilli is. So either don't order any or go whole hog.
Oh and that bag they put it in? Dreadful idea, becomes so soggy and stuff falls out the bottom.
Having said that though, chicken roll is nice!
