If they are good knives, why do they include a serrated bread knife? I thought those were for people who don't or can't sharpen knives. I'm guessing that if someone bought this set that they are able to sharpen knives.
Really? these are pretty cheap knives I'd be surprised if a large portion of owners sharpen them
You need serrated knife to cut bread, hence the name "bread knife". You kind of sawing into the the bread with the serrated knife, especially the crusty bread. Also useful for cutting cake.
i'd say this is a good price. if i dont have my SHUNs i might buy this.
I do not need them .. but looking around .. even the non discounted price is good compared to most online retailers (including kogan at 279) under 200 is a great bargain if someone was after a set of these.
