I don't think it will stick for very long.
Nope. These are from the UCoGYNN - Ultimate Collection of Garbage You'll Never Need.
Don't import trash into the country please!
8 MILLION METRIC TONS of plastic winds up in our oceans each year That’s enough trash to cover every foot of coastline around the world with five full trash bags of plastic…compounding every year
Has anyone used this? Does it block rain water from falling on to the mirrors?
depends on the angle of the rain. Straight down? Yes.
Got one a few months ago, they're $1 shipped on ebay at normal price. Works like you'd expect, which is fine when you're not driving backwards(?) or the wind's strong.
What the hell is a "Review Mirror"?? does it just give you a quick 5 - 10 second sample of what is behind you?
It could be dangerous when reversing if you exceed the review time.
I think you mean "rear view" or "rear-view" :).What the hell is a "Review Mirror"
It's a mirror that allows you to critique where you've been.
Well, that certainly got your attention!
Actually I'm pretty sure they're referring to the side mirrors. The rear-view mirror is the one inside the car, and I was confused why that was in any danger of being rained on.
You obviously don’t have a convertible
Any mirror that faces to and gives a view of the rear is a rear view mirror, as the name implies. A side mirror is a rear view mirror.
You could also call the center mirror an interior, center or rear view mirror.
Side mirrors can also be called door, wing and fender mirrors just to name a few. That would be right if we were using them as separate words giving them their ordinary English meanings. But the words "rear view mirror" together is a discrete term that has its own specialized meaning. See wiki:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rear-view_mirror
A rear-view mirror (or rearview mirror) is a mirror in automobiles and other vehicles, designed to allow the driver to see rearward through the vehicle's rear window (rear windshield).
Oh silly me, I forgot that Wikipedia is the gospel and never wrong.
I prefer to use more reputable sources like a dictionary https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rearview%20mirror
I've been a mechanic for over 34 years and when doing rego checks the rules state that you must have rear-view mirrors.
Many vans and stationwagon type vehicles can't have a mirror mounted inside the vehicle on the windscreen because there is no view through to the rear of the vehicle. The side mirrors are the rear-view mirrors in this case. So if what you are saying is true there are thousands of vehicles on our roads that don't comply.
The problem is, from 1/7, how ATO will charge the 10% GST on such small amount purchase?
Zapal charge it on ATO behalf
Car manufacturers go to great lengths and lots of wind tunnel testing to reduce mirror wind noise, then someone sticks these on.
But i'm sure that the spiders that live behind the mirror glass will appreciate the new verandah on their mobile home.
