thks grabbed a blue and an orange ….hope as good as or better than my invicta ( must have been lucky batch).

wr200, screw down crown and metal band always catches my attention.

  • Hopefully the blue isn't fake blue, like the invicta, which is purple irl

    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/Invicta-Mens-9204-Pro-Diver-Collec…

    • +1

Your link is to a different store and Ozbargain doesn't allow fakes to be posted. Also I have never posted a fake watch deal.

Regardless why do you think that overpriced Invicta 9204 quartz watch is fake?

      • +2

Semantics. He means the colour is fake, not the watch. I agree though. From front on it is blue, but when the light catches it, it appears purple from many angles. It bothers me too, since I like blue watches, but would never buy a purple one intentionally.

    • well there is royal blue, prussian blue, cobalt blue, ocean blue, etc ….. I use fountain pens and the names and type of blue ink is overwhelming.
can be hit an miss if you can't see it in a shop ….don't own an blue invictas all are black, but at least invicta are cheap so bad colour can always be gifted to someone if not happy.

  • The orange ray looks nice, shame I have the seiko baby monster :/

    • the orient is wr200 , the baby master isn't …..incase you need a reason to get the orient ….. I've been looking for monster wr200, even used hard to get, hope they make a comeback.

Hi WatchNerd, I actually bought two watches from Creation Watches in a recent 15% eBay sale (and another 10% off for Fathers Day). Ordered on a Saturday morning, and they arrived by courier at my front door on Monday afternoon! The watches are genuine of course, but are shipped in a plain white box - so keep that in mind if you're thinking of giving them as a gift.

Regarding the Orient brand, they do get a lot of love in the online community as a well-made, affordable mechanical watch. Here are a couple of good reviews comparing the Ray II and Mako II watches:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4korZEd-S-U&t=13m37s
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6Ekp77s6fc&t=964s

If you can find these watches with the blue dial (including the Pepsi) dial, I recommend it, it looks gorgeous (see the video). A very nice watch for ~$150.

Orient also make the "Bambino" watch - an entry-level mechanical dress watch - around a similar price that you might keep an eye out for.

    • hmm plain box …that wipe some of the glamour when it arrives, but good price I guess.

      • Do you often carry around the box to show to people?

        • handy when you have too many watches and want to sell some.

    • As per the details in the listing

For Seiko Watches: Your watch is carefully and securely packed in actual watch box.

For Non Seiko Watches: Your watch is carefully and securely packed in its actual watch box (except Orient watches. For Orient watches if the price of the watch is higher then USD 75 but less then USD 300.00 the watch will be sent in a nice but unbranded gift watch box - not the original watch box. If the price of the watch is more than USD 300.00 it will be sent in an original Orient watch box ).

Any Watches Priced Below USD 75.00: Your watch is carefully and securely packed and shipped without watch box.

      • hmm, so papers and warranty card ?

The new Bambino Small Seconds is fantastic. I paid $300 while I was in Japan so it's double the price of the regular Bambino but totally worth it.

This might be why the earlier generations of the Bambino are being discounted a little. It's a lovely looking watch - are they still at 40.5mm diameter?? I was hoping Orient might have downsized their dress watches a little to ~38mm which I think is the perfect size for a dress watch. That's my only qualm with the Bambino (and the 21mm lug).

        • +2

Yep still 40.5mm and 21mm lug width unfortunately. Very annoying.

There's the Orient Star Classic which is like a Bambino on steroids. 38mm, 20mm lug. At the current prices for the Bambino SS i'd consider the OSC.

The blue on the Mako II is fantastic. I have an orange Ray I but prefer the indicies on the Mako II. Blue or Black hmm

    • Pepsi

      • I've never taken to Pepsi's for some reason. Maybe they look better in person…

    • +1

The blue is very nice, I don't think you will be disappointed!

      • thanks! i was on the fence between black and blue, but that photo sealed the deal for me

        • +1

If it helps, in one of the videos I linked earlier, he has the blue Ray and the black Mako side-by-side. (He gets a bit confused at one point though, not understanding its Ray vs Mako)

  • Man I wish a Bambino deal would come up!

  • @Watchnerd any good deals on bambino with white face and blue hands?

  • +1

Thanks @WatchNerd! Ordered the Orient Mako II Blue. I like how it's hand windable, as I don't wear a watch everyday.

    dont. need. more. watches.

  • For anyone interested in the Seiko SNK393K1, appears to not have solid band links, but the lighter 'folded' links.

  • Pass….I've already bought so many watches this year :) thx anyway

DHL Shipping Notification says shipping contents as "horology item". I feel like I snagged a bargain!

  • For some reason, I couldnt use PUNCHY code at checkout. Came up with an error. But I used PULL5 so it was $7 more expensive than the post but still a solid deal. Thanks OP, grabbed the the black bambino

    • Same, a few reported errors on the eBay 10% sitewide page.
They're stuffing us up (or hopefully preparing a better discount for EOFYS I hope!)

      • Happy the original no longer works, because PERFECTDAY (see US eBay 15% off) does!

        • How did you add that code, it wouldnt accept it for me. Always show "We ran into a problem. Please try again later."

Tried it on au and us site both btw

  • will be interesting with GST as Ebay claim they will collect GST from overseas sellers ….hope when it arrives I don't get stung GST by DHL .

  • Watches arrived today via DHL, not bad, 4 days from Asia to my front door,

    No GST from DHL,

They cane in proper Orient Gift boxes, with all paper work,

    VERY nice watches ….
classier than the Invictas for budget divers 200M
