Got one of these when they were cheap as - still shitty and not worth a purchase IMO

    • Well, I was considering but you’ve convinced me.

      What made it so crap?

It just takes soooo long to trim a week's growth down to 'respectable stubble'. Seems underpowered

    • yeh ive had mixed results with the low end wahl stuff….just doesnt last. better off going phillips at this price point

Agreed, mine doesn't even charge and motor is weak as piss, waste of money. Used it once, it was like this from new.
My 6 year old Philips I got from Catch of the Day that holds charge barely long enough to trim my facial hair works 100x better.

  • How would this compare to the Braun BT5070? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/382307
Just about to buy a beard trimmer today.

    • I've HEARD it could be better.

I'm waiting for some markdown on either Philips BT5205 or QT4015. I've used QT4015's predecessor and it was awesome. BT5205 seems even better.

  • oos anywhere near me….

    • Available same price at Shaver shop

  • Bought this last time they are useless. 10hr charge i get less then a min worth of shaving

    • Same experience with mine. Waste of money.

So I can recharge this using my beard?

    • This will actually charge your beard. So please make sure your beard has reliable income.

  • Any thoughts on this one peeps? (https://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/wa9918-4212-beard---stu…)
In market for a trimmer and was going to get the hair clipper set from the Shaver shop.

same same….all the cheap wahl trimmers batteries die early & they dont have enough power.

i picked this one up via a tgg deal for under about half price a couple years ago and its still going strong. nothing fancy but does the job…full set of trimmers, guides, heads, nose & ear attach, charger and pouch. waterproof too, easy to clean & 2 year guarantee

much better than the 3 or 4 cheap wahls ive gone through…id even buy it again and probably will if its still available or at least another phillips

  • So are there any good rechargeable beard trimmers or shavers or just stick to manual all the way? I think I was given a Phillips one still haven't tried it but the person who gave it to me likes 3D movies and buys gold plated HDMI monster cables.. not joking so yeah.. not really expecting a godsend.

I am fine with manual Gillette blade shaving but if anybody has any automatic or electric waterproof recommendations have at it.. give me a recommendation otherwise back to old reliable for me.
