Hard to beat 50% off deals… I suggest you resist 20% off deals on XBox One S consoles if you can.

Yeap, and if you're even contemplating this deal for the 1TB, you're most likely better off just getting the Big W bundle for the extra $35.80 if you're wanting any of the games (to keep, as they're codes and will be locked to your Live account).

      • Do you know if it possible to sell the game codes on eBay to recoup some of the cost?

        • Gumtree or similar might be your best bet for that.

        • It's high risk selling digital items (i.e. items where you don't need to have them delivered physically). There is zero seller protection from PayPal (regardless of what eBay Support think). Even if you showed PayPal the sent e-mail or have proof the person accessed the account, they make zero difference. You are really at the mercy of the buyers.

The bundles linked include 3 months live Gold & 3 months Xbox game pass… great value if you intend to make the most of those two things - but obviously can't beat the past Amazon super deals if you are not going to get a lot out of gold & game pass

    • Um, according to the item description, the Minecraft bundle from Microsoft has only 1 month Game Pass and 14 days XB Live Gold.

The past Amazon deals "apparently" had 1 month Game Pass and 3 months XB Live Gold. Bought XBox One S back in 2016 so didn't have the need to purchase another one from those Amazon deals.

In short, check carefully, there are many different Minecraft bundles. Best not to assume you get 3 + 3 vouchers. You don't seem to get those 3 + 3 vouchers nowadays.

  • Should be a related tab for this code

  • Where can i get the cheapest Xbox One X at the moment? thanks guys and girls

  • Any reason why 1TB is more useful than 500GB? How big is a game file these days?

    • 500GB fills up very fast, particularly if you have something like EA Access.

    • Larger than you think. Most games are minimum 25gb installs (generally 50gb from the games I play), much more it you play multiplayer games that get frequent updates. So if you have more than about 7 games they get full pretty quick. That and factor in the Xbox Live Games with Gold (free games every month you get for having their online 'Gold' subscription) and it will be full before you know it.

I don't have an XBOX… but I imagine it depends how you use your console. If all the games you play are on disc, 500GB should be OK for you. If you play many different games, or have games that are downloaded and not on disc, then 500GB will probably fill up and become an issue

      • +4

No, 500GB fills up quickly regardless. The disc games install onto the Xbox and for some of the open world games, you're talking a 40GB install even if you have the disc.

        I had a 500GB and have now moved to a 1TB. I'd recommend going for a 1TB up front.

    • Great thanks for the input. Sounds like worth going for the 1TB. Can't see us using one enough to justify the One X but it is tempting for future proofing.

    • Games are huge these days. 50GB and up per game. With Game Pass you can fill that pretty quick. The 1TB is also small so you're going to be attaching an external drive anyway - I've got a 4TB external on mine - but $25 for an extra 500GB is OK value.

  • one x $519….

Minecraft unit is so ugly. I think they want to clear these specific xb ones because they don't sell. They have been on bargain deals so many times unit they till have more. They probably made way too many.

    • So just put a skin on it…?

      • The controller has green buttons :/
Haven't found a way around that yet and its driving me crazy!

      • You can't skin something that has already been skinned so hard as this Minecraft one. It's horrible. No amount of skinning is going to change that, just get another theme.

  • Are these decent as 4k blu ray players?

    • +2

Yep, they're spot on. I've coupled one with the Hisense 65N7 and it's retina-scorching good. :D

  • Also, bear in mind the only 1TB S console in the MS eBay store, at present, is the Minecraft version (green/brown).

The white was there yesterday but has either sold out overnight or been removed.

EDIT: On the plus side, the price for the Minecraft version has been dropped, to $299, bringing the final price down to a much more palatable $239.20.

  • Is there any other difference with the Minecraft edition except the exterior design? Feel like I could live with the design it if it's hidden on the shelf.

    • The controller. It's a hideous green with green buttons. Even the A B X Y is in Minecraft font.
