    • Its for NEW MEMBERS. Ull need to sign up again.

If this deal is for new members, the OP should at least say NEW MEMBERS in the title not just members, because this will assume all members including existing members get the deal.

        • No it's for members, new and old.

      • The title said it was for members, and i'm already a member, that's why it tried it…

I got that at first but I unsubscribed, logged out and it went through fine.

      • Yep this works.

I had an old account I got a couple of free download on before. I too got the "We see that you have already taken advantage of this great offer…" message.

I unsubscribed to all emails, logged off, logged back in using http://www.audible.com/freecredit and my account then had an extra credit.

    • Plus 1 from me.

I unsubscribed to the email list and re-subscribed under this deal.

      Worked like a charm.

    • Just unsubscribe.

      • A little tip - there are 3 boxes to untick, one above a little line…

  • Thanks Ohdear. Just got a free credit and bought an audiobook. Did the unsubscribe trick and worked fine. +1

    Worked for me, thanks!

I've also found that if you try and cancel your membership and list "I'm trying to reduce expenses" as your reason, they'll offer you different things to keep you onboard. I've received: 50% off the monthly membership for 3 months, then $20 credit.

  • Thanks! Unsubscribe/re-subscribe worked a treat. Great deal! I'm also going to try the trick posted by bigsue19, will report results.

    • The tip posted by bigsue19 works too, I went to cancel and selected the appropriate reason and they gave me $20 credit, nice, thanks!

  • How do your unsubscribe to the emails ??? i can't find it on the website…

    • +1

Log on -> Account Details -> Edit contact preferences

      • thanks…

  • +1

Wahoo, unsubscribe —> subscribe = free credit = NICE!!!!

What if you do it again? does the credit work the second time?

  • How do 'credits' work? the books all have different prices…

    • +2

Generally 1 book = 1 credit, regardless of the price.

      • nice… thanks…

  • Worked fine for me.

  • I've been with them for a little while, got a free credit when I signed up for a trial membership.

Then decided its not for me, when you got cancel ya trial membership. They'll usually give you another credit to keep ya.

If you try canceling after that they'll give ya discounts on memberships etc, but not more credits.

Love this though.. another book for me to listen too :)
