Bissell SpotClean Professional Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner 4720P - $195 @ Harvey Norman

80

For those like myself that missed out on the recent deal of the lower model https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/381989 (lower model has less attachments + 1 less extra bottle of cleaner I believe is the only difference) this works out to be the cheapest at the moment.

Additional benefit is the 90 Day Money Back Guarantee via redemption for their 'professional' series items.

To me it looks like the exact same setup as the lower model. Is it worth the extra $50 … maybe .. but it saves my fomo … and the carpet thanks to the adopted neigbours cat!

What you get:

1x SpotClean Professional
1x Trial Size OXY Boost Formula
1x Trial Size Spot & Stain Formula
1x Stain Trapper Tool
1x Large Tough Stain Tool
1x Small Tough Stain Tool
1x User Guide

Can't comment on this model but I've used a similar Bissell spot cleaner and was so incredibly disappointed it gave me existential anxiety.

The suction was straight up pathetic, not more powerful than a small 18v cordless wet and dry vac (which I used to finish the job).

I would wholeheartedly recommend getting a decent wet n dry vac and using a hand or pump spray bottle with shampoo/stain remover of your choice, these are one trick ponies that suck at their one trick.

    F**k you Bissell.

    • Have to upvote this comment. Going off the reviews of the prior model at least I can return in 90 days if not happy with this model.

    • I had an old one, not good at all.

  • Will this work for cleaning the car upholstery? Looking to do floor carpets, seats and maybe trims.

    • Several car care groups I belong to rate the Bissell's highly for exactly that use, albeit with different cleaning formula.

I would say it's better for cars and couches than carpets; you probably want a more serious machine for the latter.

      • Even the tiny 1.5 square foot space that people rest their feet on in the back of the car? Otherwise, I'll just stick to using a rugdoctor from my local bunnings.

        • Don't clean the car. Learn to deal with the stain that you don't see anyway. Save money. Problem solved.

  • I got one off eBay for 179 with the site-wide 10% off last week from Bing Lee

Works really well, I'm happy with mine, sucks loads of dirt out.

  • Thanks op - grabbed one, hopefully its not shit :)

  • I reckon this is normal everyday price?
