I tried to call but all it does it want to lodge a ‘case’ by selecting options.

To cancel your Belong mobile service, please create a Support Request by clicking on the button below and we'll cancel your service within 24 hours. Just port away, but make sure you have enough time before they charge for monthly renewal.
I missed by a couple of hours and they refused to refund, or even keep as future credit if I rejoined.

If you pay via PayPal you can just revoke the authority to charge, so they won't be able to charge you for the month.
Lodge a case via website/app. In my experience they do it within 30 minutes.
