  • Is it Tidal hifi or just regular subscription? I assume just the regular given it resumes at 11.99/ month?

    • Six months of tidal hifi would be nice.

    • Yep, just Premium, not Hi-Fi.

      • Hifi wowpould be great.

Either way it's so vastly inferior to Spotify (especially for play lists and electronic music) that I would even take free hifi for life over paying for Spotify. The play lists are truly horrendous.

    • Some of them aren't that bad, but yeah, its free, just import them between services with Soundizz

I still use Pandora with a VPN. Would hifi be better?
I agree with the above comment- spotify is awful

    • You misread.

      • Yes I did, I have only had one coffee. My bad.

    • What goodness is VPN bringing to the table?

      • Hmmmm according to interwebs, Pandora is now US-only. They pulled out of AU and NZ last year.

        Edit:
Possibly because of this: "In early 2017, Pandora revealed that 56 million of its 81 million active users subscribe to the Today's Country station and that country music accounted for more than 1.7 billion listening hours on the platform in 2016."

        • yeah thats why you use a vpn set to another country so you can still get Pandora

      • +1

Yeah US only now. I prefer Pandora, so get around the geoblocking with a VPN.

    • +1

yeah im the same as you I love using Pandora with my vpn……..I think its the best

That reminds me to cancel those previous free 6 months of Tidal. Thanks.

    • Lol. I set a freaking reminder on google keep and yes! I use keep to keep the notes worth keeping on keep.

  • I love DEEZER! But all of the swear words are censored :(
I'm going to give Tidal a go, is it censored?
I don't really like Spotify - it looks ugly and often doesn't have the songs i want.

    • Here's a tip. Buy the songs you want that aren't on Spotify. Store them on Google Drive etc. Download them to the device for offline listening, play them in the streaming app (Spotify). Enjoy best of both worlds, the best music application and your own music.

      • Or just play them in Google Play Music with the free 30k music storage?

        • Although you don't get the best of both worlds do you? You have to use Google Play Music….

The beauty of my solution, is it will work for any subscription service, so you aren't limited to Googles terrible app to be converted into an even worse app —> Youtube Music :-S

I have had Tidal for a long time, haven't heard anything censored, not into that kind of stuff (Rap/Hip-Hop) but wouldn't like big brother censored it for me anyway.
After all, I give Tidal 2 out of 10 if you get it for free.

      • It is not as inclusive as Deezer, not even Spotify.
      • Not recognised by Android Google/assistant as a music streamer/player
      • Not very user-friendly with a Bluetooth headset
      • Too many disconnections; Stopped, lost playlist, frozen, (not experienced with others, Spotify, Google Play,…)
      • No lyrics
      • No rating, plays annoying songs
      • Not having a reliable cache for network interruptions
      • Only repeats the first few songs on top of the list
      • Plays songs from all singers with a similar name as the same artist. This one is annoying.
      • It's got a bigger library these days

        • Saying that I wouldn't pay for it, and cmon it's free
