It's been recently made backwards compatible. Hoping they'll remaster Burnout 3 or at least make that also backwards compatible - from the original Xbox version.

      • Yep just purchased Burnout Revenge on XB360 on ebay and gonna play on my XB1 tonight!

Is this the games where you have a scene you have to crash into and cause as much damage as possible?

    • The previous two games (Takedown/Revenge) had "Crash Mode". Disappointing it wasn't included in this one.

Edit: There was an indie style game called "Burnout: Crash!" that was only released digitally on the PS3, 360 and iPhone. I've played the demo and didn't think it was nowhere near as fun as the one in the games above.

  • I remember riding my bike down to the local Harvey Norman and playing the first release on PS2 with a steering wheel and pedal setup they had on display, it was so much fun so I'm glad they kept the series going.

    • Except they didn't really, this was the last game to be released (available on back compat on Xbox) and this is just a re-release…
      Nonetheless brings good memories…

Was meant to be a reply to person above.

  • Nowhere near as good as the old ones, but I'd have bought again if they at least threw it on switch.

Anyway, they killed any chance of getting me to buy it again when they put revenge on the Xbox bc list last week. Far superior game.

  • The only downside is that all cars are available straight off the bat so you could choose the most powerful car early on and it will take away a lot of the challenge and progression people may be used to.
