please note that if you buy this you will have to buy a new cord to fit the australian power ports as it comes with an american plug.
i have the same model (650w version) and i also bought mine from amazon US

    • You should be able to re-use your old power supply one, if you still have it.

  • NO RGB.. NO buy

  • From my research and EVGA's international warranty on GPUs; if there is a fault you are required to send it to their main international base in Taiwan. Can only imagine how much you'd be paying in shipping.

  • Bought the 650w last week for $69 us plus shipping. Would have bought this instead of it was at this price at the time.

    • Was the mains connector just a standard kettle cord ?
It looks to be on the pictures I've seen .

Kettle should be the C14 power cord and PC's are generally C13. whats the difference? C14 is rated for higher pin temps, though have the same voltage and amperage specs as teh C13. in saying that though, any 3 pin should work on a PSU

EVGA have just extended warranties on their PSUs if purchased now till December. G3s go up 2 years.

    • yeah i bought a Seasonic Focus+ a few weeks ago and the quality/workmanship for the cables is horrid. my prefernce was the G3 but didnt want to pay the local asking price.

    • Of course, because I bought a G3 from the previous deal a week before.

Ah well, 7 years or 9 years, hopefully wont matter

  • Late to the party on this, but even at $140 it's not much of a deal. Overpower protection on this is set wayyy too high and it doesn't have +12V OCP so it goes out of spec quite drastically if overloaded. Even the updated fan (Assuming you get it) is rather noisy.

750w is also super overkill for most people, 550w is already plenty for any single GPU setup minus Vega 64. Buying higher wattage isn't a good thing, they're louder and less efficient at lower loads. It's the same price as a Focus Plus Gold and just shy of equivalent G2, give this deal a pass.

    • I'm fairly sure that PSUs tend to be more efficient at half load, and if I recall correctly the 80 plus model dictates that they have to be more efficient at 50% than at 100% and 20%

      • They tend to be 2-3% more efficient at 50% load but I said that lower wattage power supplies are more efficient at lower loads where your PSU will be sitting at most of the time. Wasn't really talking about general PSU efficiency curves.

  • Presumably this wouldn't have the Australian Electrical Safety approval RCM mark?
