Hey guys,

I got this in an email from Ozstock. Seems like a decent deal, PCCG has them for $65 not including shipping.

Read speed - 40MB/s, Write speed 35MB/s (taken directly from the site page)

They cost $59 with shipping to Victoria $3, $62 in total.

Enjoy!

  • Any comments on the A-Ram brand?

    • They make decent RAM.

    • Dunno, but I was thinking about buying A-Car, but I don't have A-License.

      • I LOL'd when I read this…why so many negs, humourless gits! :p

Very slow for USB3, I'd guess slow nand or poor controller. As mentioned above, barely faster than a good USB2 drive.
For comparison Kingston DataTraveller Ultimate 3.0 recorded R:95MB/s & W:70MB/s in this review:

    • @ozdavo… that's a good reference point/benchmark to work with, thanks.

Jeeeeeezzzzz - that would make ReadyBoost actually quite worthwhile (if it worked), as it's faster than most laptop drives LOL

      • +1

Exactly what I was thinking O.o would be very worthwhile with the far greater storage you can get.

        • Cheap SSD lol

    • The Kingston DataTraveller Ultimate 3.0 drive recently topped the Choice review of USB drives for speed, and even though not marketed as rugged, survived the oven/washing machine/drop/car runover tests, where rugged ones didn't!!

  • price is so so

they were $55 three weeks at a different retailer
