  • I grabbed a pick-up order for the cover - awesome timing as my existing one has really weathered and started to crack and let a little water in. Just realised this is the standard cover and think my previous one was the 'premium'. Hopefully this one is okay, but great price - thanks OP!

    Got cancellation email but I was still able to pick it up,as i received confirmation email for pickup before cancellation email. Picked up item after i received the cancellation email before they caught on.

  • I don’t understand how TGG can cancel the order. This was on A Current Affair a while back where someone purchased a diamond for cheap due to pricing error…. when an item is purchased online the deal is done once payment is taken. Regardless of price error it’s a contract and have to go through with the deal…

      That is incorrect, their terms and conditions have a full clause explaining that pricing errors are at the sole discretion of the business to be honoured or not.

      • I'm not entirely sure that @Stuace is wrong. From the ACCC's website:

        Where different multiple prices appear for one product or service, businesses must withdraw those products and services and fix the display or advertisement. There are exceptions when the advertisement states that prices vary in different regions, where a price is entirely hidden by another price, a unit price is shown, or a price is displayed in an overseas currency.

        If you choose an item or service that has multiple different prices displayed or advertised and the business can’t withdraw the product or service from sale and fix the error, you are entitled to buy it for the lowest price.

        • That might be correct if you're buying in store, but when buying online you have to abide by their T&C's as you tick them when purchasing the products.

  • OK so here's something interesting. Placed my order really early (only a few minutes after seeing the deal) and received the usual order confirmation and PayPal transaction emails through. That's fine and nothing unusual for a pricing error. A few hours later I got a call from a local store confirming my delivery address which made me think it may just happen… but a couple of hours after that I received the dreaded 'price error' cancellation email. About an hour ago I then received two more emails from Good Guys… one was the full receipt and the other was the 'Good News! Your order is on the way' email. Fingers crossed :)

    Ordered both separately, the cover was click and collect and I got a ‘ready for pickup’ notification shortly after, then came the cancellation emails.

    This morning I got a ‘your order is still ready for collection’ email, so I went down and picked it up, no questions asked!

    Wonder if I will still get a refund?
