Ordered TV Online It's Arrived Damaged. What Now?

Oh god… what a nightmare… I've been waiting for ages to get myself a Hisense N7 75 and it finally arrived today. I bought it off eBay and it was shipped to my address. I unpacked it and have discovered a large crack in the screen! I have no idea what to do now. I've msg both the courier company and the eBay seller.

I helped the guy lift it off the truck and I noticed it wasn't secured! It actually fell a little on it's side against another box! I thought then I hope it's not damaged.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Help… :(

    Submit a resolution centre case. End of discussion.

      Have done, but would like to hear from others who have been through this as it how their experience was. Pretty scary to say the least.

        Did you pay with Paypal on eBay? If so, you're covered and don't need to worry.

          Hell, here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/377084 is a case where not only was it delivered, but delivered undamaged as well. Outrageous!

          Well, I'd better start a post complaining the courier didn't deliver it properly or something.

          I wouldn't go that path, if the seller / eBay finds out, it will look like a scam.

    Is there any visible damage to the exterior of the box?

      Yes, there's some water damage on the bottom corner, and a couple of creases.

      I'm still waiting to hear back. I pretty much posted this straight after I contacted them, eBay and the courier.

        Classic case of damaged upon arrival so shouldn't be too much of an issue I would've thought.

    An update if anyone cares.

    The seller agreed to a refund or replacement on condition that the broken tv is picked up by a courier to be returned. I've got print out a dispatch label and stick it on the box.

    Trying to decide whether to give them another chance or get a refund. Surely the courier would take more care this time with the item?? lol

    Well, didn't need to make a decision, the seller did for me. They refused to send a replacement and gave a refund. No more Hisense N7 75's left anywhere and everything else s out of my budget. So a huge waste of time and now I miss out on a nice tv.
