      They usually.

I doubt they always do based on some of the Wii and Wii U games I've seen is some stores.

    • Clean what? Consoles or games? I don't think so.

      • -2

        Both.

Who knows what hygiene habits the previous owners had.

It definitely includes some new games

  • Any idea if the EOP https://ebgames.com.au/pc-202141-TP-Link---AV500-Mini-Powerl… is worth getting for $40?

    • I have a powerline adapter and it works great, mine was cheaper but it wasnt 500 Mbs, so do you need that? do you have NBN or cable. If not you can get one cheaper than this

      • I have Optus 4g which maxes out at around 40-50mbps. Currently using my routers in wireless bridging mode but wondering if I'd see much benefit in using EOP.

        • I used to use EOP. However, when it comes to IPTV, for some reason, it would lose connections after a while (used to be great with older IPTV type boxes, but newer ones with higher resolution, not so). I fixed my connection issue with 5GHz wifi (I thought I tried wifi instead, and to my surprise, it turned out to be much better). I think the newer / current gen routers (decent ones, not the el cheapo ones) handle multiple connections better.

The EOP kit used was a pair of D-Link 500Mbps ones (one side has 4 ports), so if you really want to go EOP, I suggest go for the latest (maybe they will handle multiple / lots of connections better). You hardly get firmware update on EOP kits, so get the latest. However, if you already have decent wifi router with 5Ghz support, try that first (if the devices are in range).

General Web surfing on a small number of devices, any EOP will work fine. More demanding situation, they may not.

    • These EOP adapters are rubbish. They completely lock-up and stop passing data about once a week and require rebooting of either the local or remote end to reconnect. Do not recommend.

a lot depends on surge supressors (works better if there aren't any so don't plug into power boards, plug direct into power point) and also if power points are on the same circuit or not, most homes have at least 2 power circuits for GPO.

        • Hi Garage Sale,

Thanks for your reply. They're directly into the sockets, without powerboards. I'll look into the additional power circuits. Thanks for the tip.

      • I wouldn't be that quick to call them rubbish, I have been using power over ethernet for years and never come across the problems you mention, in fact, it gave me twice the speed my wifi did in the area of my house it was needed.

        • Hi,

Maybe I've just been unlucky, but this particular model seems to be rubbish. I have about half a dozen of these things (Only two installed a time though) And they all flake out after about a week. Even when used in different houses.

  • I'm very interested in the Diablo III Battlechest but I've got no Steam data that I normally rely on.

Anyone know where I can check if this is a good price or not?

      Check on OzBargain.

It's a pretty good price for Diablo 3 + Expansion.

For digital games I normally use isthereanydeal - https://isthereanydeal.com/search/?q=diablo+3

Bear in mind that these prices are USD. A quick google also shows you can buy the digital copy from grey-market resellers for about $30 USD.

As someone who loved Diablo 2 but hated Diablo 3 when it first launched, the expansion pack + patch changes make this game a bargain at this price. Highly recommended.

      Try http://www.canspend.com and search Diablo.
Seems Amazon AU and Eb Games are the cheapest at the moment ($24.97) for the battlechest

Apart from the other places suggested, also check CompareGames — comparegames.com.au — their crawlers do miss some sites a lot though, but it's always worth checking them in addition to the other sites mentioned (canspend, isthereanydeal).

    • Thanks for all the really good feedback! I think I've got a new bunch of sites I'll hit regularly now.

Half price off RRP? Forza horizon 3 Jb $59 regular price, but $50 from eb?

    • Key is that first 'R' in RRP. Any retailer can set whatever price they like but the recommended price out of the gate is $99 (I assume?).

    rip off prices

    • R.O.P

    • Ikr, ass Creed unity is 'normally' $88 pre-owned????? Who pays that for a second hand game. Walk into any/every other store and its cheaper new.

  • Resident evil 7 collector’s editions are in stock. $98 is a not bad price.
    https://ebgames.com.au/any/any?availability=onlinestock&q=Re…

    • yeah. Anyone knows what "Please Note: Product may be in shop-worn condition

" means? Maybe jv has the answer?

      • It means it may not be in mint condition. It may have some wear and tear on outside packaging

        • Ah I see. that ain't too bad I guess.

      • +1
        • Suppose not.

  • Damn $9 delivery for The Evil Within 2 for me…
And not guaranteed to be new in sealed condition upon arrival?

    • I recently bought a suppose to be new game from JB Hi Fi. The staff couldn't find a brand new sealed copy, but managed to find the disc. The staff insisted it is brand new.

Also, recently bought Sine Mora EX from EB Games for $4 (I like shoot'em up games), not fully sealed but still sold as brand new - again, I picked up in store. $4 and it is basically just Steam code so I didn't care. Besides, once you opened the game, it is second hand. I think EB have some sort of warranty.

Bought a wifi extender, saved about $50 compared to what it's being sold for at PLE. Thanks OP.

  • Been to a few Officeworks and couldn't find any of the decent clearance routers left, so quite happy to see the TP-Link Archer C3150 here for a good price. Thanks OP!

    • I was lucky, I got a c50 from Officeworks. Was marked down to $35 but scanned at $15. Was last in stock (ringwood, Vic). Nothing else noteworthy (might save people time and effort).

  • any good deals?

  • Bought Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2LE for $75 for both.

    • Total War: Warhammer II looks like it's the cheapest it's been. Digital prices are in usd and even on sale way higher.
