Been using this for a couple of months and it is a solid piece of kit. Well worth the 15 bucks

Had about 5 sets of these before a chick at Shaver Shop told me to just buy a Salon quality unit, absolutely blows these cheaper kits out of the water..

    • Same here, went through a few budget sets and bought the same model you linked! Very much a case of you get what you pay for

Will this solve my problem of clippers only lasting 6 months trimming my beard? Aware that these are intended for hair but ironically designated beard trimmers seem even less heavy duty. Currently I have a semi decent Wahl clipper (it’s made of metal and made in USA) and yep blunt(?) after 6 months.

In the same boat, beard trimmers seem all about getting it faded to 692 different lengths when all I do is use the same size all over once a week. Seems a hair one would be a better option.

Last time I went in I picked up a remington shaver and a bottle of beard oil. The beard oil lasted longer than the shaver.

      • Can't speak for using the hair clipper on the beard, but I use the Wahl Li-Ion beard trimmer linked below by wikiwiki. Weekly trim, coarse hair, over 1 year and still going strong

      • Felt like a little much when I shaved my face with it, I use a Remington rechargeable one and it's been going pretty well just keeping it charged and using the Clipper Guard spray they sell too. I probably don't use mine as much as most (or I should haha)

    • Same here - bought this the last time it was advertised and it was a case of price too good to be true - it was essentially the cost of shipping alone. Used for half a haircut and chucked in the bin because of the multiple passes required. Finished job with a cheap Panasonic all-in-one that suddenly felt good for the first time.

  • I need a rechargeable one, these both are a great price:

    https://www.shavershop.com.au/wahl/style-pro-rechargeable-ha…

Anyone had any experience with either of these?

    • Looking at the same ones, and this one.
      https://www.shavershop.com.au/wahl/li-ion-pack-hair-clipper-…

Review on all of them are pretty good.

      • Keen on that as it includes a detail trimmer and the cordless looks good. Also says it's made in the US.

Having worked there and tested a few of these products, the Remington for that price point would do the trick. The link wikiwiki had posted is the best you can get for a cheap cordless Wahl clipper.

      • Would the Wahl set be okay for body trimming? Thanks.

        • +1

Yes it will do back hair just fine.

      • any idea which clipper/trimmer will be good for neck nape hair? thanks

I got this from the last deal. This is made in China and comparing it to my us made Wahl. It gets jammed when trimming thicker hair. I got it because of the combs which could fit the US wahl But it was too tight a fit so the plates where struggling. Been sitting in its box ever since.

    • Knew there was a reason I paid $50 from Good Guys. Look for the Made in America on the box folks!

  • I bought a set like this a while back and after using it three times, the power button started acting up. It's a very cheap set. Don't expect much from it. Not surprised if these are just rubbish rebadged units which use the Wahl brand for mark ups.

Got this model from the last deal and used a few times. Can't complain, it works well for me. Maybe because I don't have much hair left :)

  • Item currently not available

  • I love my Wahl clippers, and use them fortnightly.
Great if you are losing hair, and want to keep it short, as you should!

I'd recommend a more expensive set however.

  • purchased, thank you.

  • Not a bad deal for 15$ but I would suggest getting this one - https://www.shavershop.com.au/wahl/styler-hair-clipper-00815…

These are made in USA and not China.
