Supercheap Auto 9pc Microfibre Wash Kit $10 (RRP $16.99) @ Supercheap Auto

1340

Excellent value at the RRP, let alone over 40% off!

I just picked one up at my local - plenty of stock, all marked as being 16.99 but it should scan at $10 at checkout.

I bought the waffle weave towel contained within this pack separately a while back. That alone is worth the asking price - by far better than a chamois for drying the car!

  • Cool, ill be picking 2 up tomorrow.

  • Anyone know the size of the waffle cloth ? Is it the same one as the jumbo one that sells for $12

Not sure if they are the same but the one in this pack measures 80cm X 65cm

  • As this is a car care related post, can any one recommend a car cleaning detergent. I am after a good one that removes bug and tar, like the ones where you spray them on the car, leave them soak on for 2 min and then wash them off with the pressure cleaner.

    • Have a read into bowden's own

They have a website and facebook group page

    • CT-18 seems to do an excellent job on very dirty vehicles (a few dirt bikers I know swear by it), but it's reportedly not kind to wax and I'm hesitant to use it on my waxed vehicles (works great on my bike). CT-20 is what I use on my waxed vehicles and it seems to be a good comprimise between gentleness and, you know, getting rid of dirt. Some threads seem to indicate the CT series can cause paint oxidisation, but I'm yet to see it in my experience. Fancier stuff I've used like Autoglym hasn't been any better despite the significantly greater cost. YMMV.

      • thanks on your input, will have a look in to CT

        • Do not use CT on your car. It contains acid, and will dilute the wax and oxidise the paint

          @zonbie:
          “Contains acid”

        • Yep DO NOT use CT on your car unless you want to remvoe all polish and waxes to clay, polish, wax again. That’s why it’s so effective on dirt, it eats away big time. Use a piant thickness meter on anything that’s used CT-18 as frequent was and there’s bugger all paint left (check out all mine vehicles that typically use it)

        • @xyzed: This bloke is right, CT-18 is for removing grease and grime that would come from a vehicle that works in the bush, etc. not for daily road use. I'd recommend bowdens own or meguiars gold class, use the microfibre cloths to get rid of the dirt etc. my paint has looked great since switching to meguiars and goldclass products. it looks good when it's dirty from a distance even though up close its dirty.

      • I used autoglym today to wash my car. It's super shiny! And The liquid smells good :)

Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax is the one I use

    • most washes you can buy from SCA will do the job its probably worth using a microfibre cloth in the process because if your relying on high pressure water to take of something that has cooked on in the sun over a few days you will damage your wax/clear more than anything

    • I would advise you to invest on a snow foam lance that you can attached to your pressure washer and use something like Mint snow foam..

  • Don't forget to earn a bonus 2.1% Cashback, which brings it below the psychological $10 mark.

  • I bought a few of these packs with the Supercheap $5 credits, the cloths are good, the sponges are ok not as good as the Mequiar's sponges but the kit is great value nonetheless.

  • Plenty at Carseldine store at 8.30am
