Tasting Note

Belvedere Pure sways between sweet and savoury with vanilla and a hint of white pepper and spice. Finishing with notes of almond, clotted cream and some faint almond and brazil nut characteristics. On the nose, Belvedere Pure Vodka reveals a faint hint of vanilla along with some gentle, soft cream characteristics. On the palate, Belvedere Pure is full and round with a medium bodied weight and rich, velvety texture.

  Wait a second. Isnt Vodka just pure alcohol + water? Do your research. By definition, Vodka cannot be anything other than alcohol and water.

  Pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations (27 CFR 5.22) defining the standards of identity for various alcohols, Vodka is in the class of neutral spirits and is defined as follows: (1) “Vodka” is neutral spirits so distilled, or so treated after distillation with charcoal or other materials, as to be without distinctive character, aroma, taste, or color.

    Neutral spirits, yes, but not quite just alcohol and water. Neutral spirit is minimum 95% alcohol. The other 5% is the product of the distillation and will vary based on the grain/plant used.
    If watered to 40% abv for bottling as standard, that's up to 2% of volume which is not alcohol or water and still meets requirements to be 'vodka'
    …not much, but some say they can taste the difference. Personally I'd rather whisky.
