I bought a whole stack of them recently and to my shock they were made in China.

I try to avoid food products from China for various reasons. Just FYI. Down votes expected.

    • My guess is that some food stuffs from China would be fine. Just which ones though are hard to know…

      • Of course some are, after all they have over a billion people so they don't want to poison the population.

I avoid veggies, fruit, berries & rice as there are some questionable farm practices, such as using human excrement as fertiliser (I've seen it). I assume that tea is picked, dried & packaged (i.e. not washed in questionable water) that it'd be fairly safe. But you never know. Also being a dry product (usually) steeped in boiling water, the chance of getting bacterial infection would be quite low.

China is the worlds leading tea exporter. There are some quality tea leaves from there if you’re a tea enthusiast. Just FYI.

It's not as if they traditionally grow Tea in China, nor is it where Tea comes from…….

    • "Blended and packed in China…", "…using the finest imported and local ingredients", to be precise. It's certainly unexpected, but I don't know whether or not to be concerned.

      • Hmm… we also picked to Nerada, which says the tea was imported, but not from where. Assumed china too.

    • I guess you should be buying Dilmah then…

Why is $6 a deal when it's also on sale for $5.50 on a regular basis?

Best price right now surely? That would make it a deal.
