  • “this model reduces high-resolution audio sound…”

“Reduces”? Or should that be “produces”?

Reproduces , according to Panasonic site

  • Some mixed reviews on the web. Could anyone that purchased from the previous deal comment?

I purchased the DMP-BD84GNK from a previous deal. Grays refurb.

Seems OK for Blu Ray, but we got it mainly for Netflix, and it will have a random crash every now and then requiring pulling out the power.

Another family member purchased one brand new and it exhibits the same issues.

It works…but it is not rock steady.

That said it is a pretty good package for the money. Netflix + Blu-ray for $40.

EDIT: Oh and the UI is slooowwwww and very limited. But it does have a Netflix button on the remote so that keeps Netflix load time within reason.

      • Cheers, yep quite a few comments on the freezing and crashing 😕

A cheap way to get Netflix.
But how good? My old Sony BD player is very slow with netflix.

    • Does it come with a free Netflix account?

    • I feel your pain. My Sony bluray’s smarts are very slow and a lot of channels refuse to load.

  • Does it by pass the TV signal to the TV if i connect the TV antenna to this box?

Antenna? It is not a VCR.
