My SO was coming back from Europe and had read about a free hotel online but couldn't figure out how to do it.

The original links on Qatar Airlines website was broken, but I found a detailed blog about it and the proper link.

  We are booked (& have paid in full) to fly to Europe on Qatar, transiting in Doha, on both our forward and return trips. I wonder whether we can amend our flights to utilise this offer without incurring exorbitant cancellation & re-booking fees.

    Check your fare bucket and the corresponding rules. Fingers crossed you’ll probably find it a little more flexible than something locked in concrete like a Jetstar ticket. Also if you booked via a travel agent in the last week or two it might not even be ticketed yet and/or still able to be changed.

      Thank you LoopyLou. Much appreciated for your suggestions. We booked with Flight Centre. Just checked FC invoice and it stipulates "Date/Time changes: airline $300 + $75 FC + any fare diff and taxes per person." Minimum is thus $750 for both of us!

  For some reason check-in date in September 2017 and does not allow future date. How could you change it to say in 2018.

    Looks like you can manually edit the date (without using the calendar). Change the date to something in 2018. Not sure if it will be valid though

  We just did this and stayed at the Westin for a couple of nights and it was fantastic! Highly recommend it to people looking for a relaxing stopover.

  Does this stack if you use qantas ff points for a RTW ticket which includes Qatar and a stop over in Doha?

    I believe it has to be booked with Qatar Airlines and not codeshare.

    • Offer valid only for Qatar Airways confirmed ticket holders with minimum a transit time of 12 hours in Doha.

    • Qatar Airways E-ticket number start with “157” is required to be entered at the payment page. Maximum of one booking is allowed per E-ticket number.

    • Not applicable on codeshare flights.

  Each E-ticket number can be used to book exactly 1 time, for 1 to 3 guests. I have a family of three so we can book 3 times, and we did.
